My wife and I have five or six CD's of Max Bygraves and we listen to them often. The entertainment, the "simplicity," the sheer exuberance and optimism of the post-war years in England were always at the forefront of his shows. Sad to read of Blossom's passing. Wish I'd known of their residence in New Zealand as we travel there from Canada frequently to visit with our son. Would have been great to see him again - whether or not he is still singing.

I saw Max Bygraves at Worthing years ago (I think 1983) , I was on holiday with my parents. They'd booked a show and it wasn't until I got there I found out who it was. I was like "No..Come on Please"I got "Dragged in". Max had just finished his previous show and I remember seeing him signing albums and chatting to his fans. I still remember his show that night because there was so much real love in what he was doing and his care for his fans. Great entertainer. For the record I'm a Metal fan.
Thanks for posting this. I had the wonderful privelege to meet Max and his lovely wife yesterday, whilst I was doing a show. I asked Max to join me for a song and it was such an honor to sing with him! Can you please tell me what were Max's biggest hits as I will be seeing him again soon and would like to be prepared with a few of his songs and surprise him! Thanks for your help.
@terrystewart3 I don't know if you heard, but Max's beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Blossom Murray, passed away peacefully at the retirement home that they were both staying in. Bygraves and Murray had moved to New Zealand with the hope that it would ease a long term chest complaint that Blossom had.
The pair met and married whilst they were both serving in the forces during the Second World War.
Music Maestro - please

Crooners... not my cup of tea...
I started with the BEATLES... but I am almost sure that Paul and Ringo go for this sort of thing.
