In the original the alien wasnt an almighty badass, he was pretty much a human from another planet, I just watched the original last night and he is shot ONCE and falls to the gorund like a human. Keanu coming to earth in this one and kicking everythings ass is a twisted message of the original, in said original he has the same skeletal, nervous and everything a human has. The only rhing diffrent was that he was 75 and from mars or venus. NOT a badass that cripples everyone in a hospital.
