@le0liveira Right. I know this isn't samba really at all, but there are many kinds of samba. For example the ballroom and the Rio de Janeiro stuff. U can't compare them. So u can't say that something which comes from Rio is "the real thing". For example ballroom dancers would think that the Rio thing isn't samba at all. I know Brazil was where samba started, but u still can't say it's "the real one". And before somebody asks, yes, I dance ballroom latin and standard.
There are many types of Samba dance, e.g. Carnival Samba, Ballroom Samba, Social Samba, Samba Gafieira and Forro.
"Samba No Pe" means "samba on the foot", the common way to dance to samba rhythms in Rio Carnival that recognized by Brazilian roots.
This video is a demonstration of Ballroom Samba. It is a partner dance, one of the Latin dances in international style ballroom dancing. The music is around 30 beat per minute. There are fixed routines such as Whisks, Botafogo, Volta etc.
This is a shame for the dancers that they did not search for what is samba!
Who does not know samba should research and study the culture of each people.
You should study about samba, you should look for "Samba 3 performance" or "Samba No Pe" on youtube! This is the "gaff samba" in Rio de Janeiro! True!
