  • This looks like Melbourne International Airport, would I be correct?

  • @TechnoWalrus You are very correct! This was on my way out heading back to the states.

  • Where is this?

  • @arjglowgirl This is in Australia, leaving to go to the US. This is pretty much the last stop before being allowed to find your gate. Not supposed to take any video or pics here but I managed to...bad girl, I know.

  • @cmsavage lol, I see :) I was looking for videos of immigration in Newark, since I will be traveling there next month and I heard that that airport is hard to get around and that immigration can take forever... Want to get as familiar with the airport as possible as well since I only have a little over an hour to make it to my connecting flight.. :S Might not make it, so wish me luck!

  • @arjglowgirl Oooh that is definitely rough. Definitely be prepared to whip your way through by having your passport and immigration card (or whatever it is they give you) ready. I have been through immigration in Los Angeles and it is HECK go through but of course I'm going through it with 400 and some odd other people who just got off the plane with me as well as anyone else who might be coming into the international terminal so...yeah. Best of luck! You may be able to make it just fine.

  • @arjglowgirl You probably won't find many videos of immigration because it's a HUGE HUGE HUGE no no to video or photograph any of those areas. Kind of understandable. But I like to break rules...sometimes :D

  • @arjglowgirl With that said, it seems immigration is always the same...long lines going slower than you think they should. Once you get up to the counter, provided you don't have anything to declare in customs or any of that, you should be through in a whiz. But another thing you have to think about is baggage...because chances are you will have to pick up your baggage and recheck it after going through customs. And yes, I do talk a lot, but I'd rather help you be as prepared as possible!

  • @cmsavage Thanks so much for the info! Its much needed :) I'm already kinda prepared for "worst" and I'm not keeping my hopes too high about catching that flight on time, but I will do all that I can to at least try! lol. And you really are daring to take that video, don't think I would have done it if I knew it was a big no no haha. But it at least gave me a glimpse of what it might look like, so thanks!

  • @arjglowgirl What can I say...I am gutsy when it comes to this kind of stuff. Comes with the territory of being a photographer so I'm kind of used to it. I am not a pro, but it's a hobby and I'm used to breaking "rules". These rules are sort of unspoken...but they're there. Obviously, if someone wanted me to stop I would but yeah...fun to try to capture it anyway.

  • @cmsavage why are you not allowed pictures

  • @cmsavage why cant you take pictures

  • @HerresKoolaid Just in the security line/immigration, because, well, I don't actually know. I don't think they want "secret" things on tape and they want to protect privacy. And security officers do not want their picture taken. You have to be very careful when you have a camera lol
