He just doesn't want it to be a FEDERAL law. He wants it to be controlled by each state. He wants to end the FEDERAL war on drugs considering we've spent 500 BILLION dollars, and for what? His point is to leave individual laws up to individual states and keep the federal government out of it.

States would then make their own laws, and it's highly unlikely that anything like heroine and cocaine would be legalized. Cannabis would, and rightly so.
Free the hemp (which is not even a drug, but made illegal by the Federal Government) and make way for an industry that would bring many jobs back home.

Indeed, if we support Ron Paul, we've signed America's death warrant.
He's nothing but a demagogue capitalizing on the Republican Party's clout. He, really, is a Libertarian, but: since the Libertarians don't have enough constituency to amount to a fart in the whirlwind, he is vying for the Republican nomination.

I consider going to war against Iraq was a mistake from the get-go. We should have concentrated on Afghanistan to fight the Taliban for protecting Osama bin Laden and al-Quaida. We should have taken them alive and brought them back to stand trial.
Taking down Saddam was a wasted effort and was Bush trying to make for his father's losses at his failed attempt from before.
I regard for other lives than just American ones.

I regard other lives than American ones. I didn't crash those planes into the World Trade Center. The ones we suspect should be who we should have concentrated ALL our military efforts so there wouldn't have been the civilian casualties that should be to our regret.

We need to have a foreign policy that is like Teddy Roosevelt said, "Speak softly and carry a big stick." It is a mistake to let Iran run amok with nuclear weapons. Also, it would be defeatist to not finish what we started regarding bringing al-Quaida to justice. I say put them AND the CIA and anyone else (including Bush) on trial.
