  • supposedly these videos are to show that there are other ways in sustainable energy is not so much to know if is better than tesla ford ferrari or simply to show that a car with another type of energy is also effective

  • The winner is...the Tesla Roadster

  • @sharpanator Two different cars, two different design philosophies. It's not saying the Tesla is a Ferrari. It's just demonstrating that an electric car can be competitive. Also, the Tesla isn't light. The body, yeah, but you aren't counting all the batteries it takes to make the current to power an electric motor to those speeds, as well as the cooling equipment it takes to keep it from melting it's coils.

  • TESLA is the next big american automaker

  • cant see the winning. please redo.

  • A truly astonishing automobile. Check out the videos for the new Model S.

Best of luck and a bright future for a ground breaking AMERICAN automobile manufacturer.

  • Thanks for featuring an electric car!

  • shit camera too

  • Its a regular Carrera Cabriolet 996. 300hp. 3.4L engine

  • even more impressive, it uses lithium battery cells, so basically it just smoked the crap out of a porche with the same power that keeps your laptop working, albeit is a bit more that a 6 cell batter, more like 640 cell, and the battery is the heaviest part of this car weighing a little over a thousand pounds, the rest is carbon fiber with alluminum chassis and composite drive shaft

  • in that srait away the bugati veyron will ezaly blow the dorrs off that eletric pile of steaming goat shit

  • @MsCrappants i love how people keep comparing the Veyron to the Tesla roadster they are to completely different class of cars. the roadster cost around $100k fully loaded and a base model is around 55k if i remember right and the Veyron cost somewhere 1.7m fully loaded. that's a big difference. and i normally hate it when people get on to people for spelling but damn youtube does have spell check

  • @MsCrappants that is beside the point bud, this is an all electric sports car, and it just stomped the shit out of a high dollar traditional sports car, with a few more years of fine tuning and technological advancement and it will blow the doors of your 1.7 million dollar piece of shit, and the first guy that does it will have a smile on his face as the veyron owner realizes how he wasted his money while at the same time shoving his big smelly foot in his big shit talking mouth.

  • @jyocomopc

    screw you ugly hillbily bich

  • @MsCrappants ah, the short worded insult of a person with nothing good to say. Really guy, I expected a better insult from someone that actually knows what a veyron is, no class man no class at all.

  • @jyocomopc i got an idea take youre big smelly ass and sove it into the Porsche s exast pipe

  • da hell? did u film this with a toaster?

  • Well I really wasn't expecting the Tesla to rocket off like it did. Pretty cool little car!

  • Unfortunately YouTube doesn't support less than 240p otherwise you'd upload 4 x 3 pixels! Of course we do exercise our imagination here...

  • Yeah the porsche is a 996

  • I wounder If My Favourite Supercar, A Porsche 959 will beat that Tesla Roadster

  • street racing is illegal .. I hope your dumbass gets turned into a hood ornament ..

  • @sureshot40sw man the reason there are street racers is becuse its fun and noone cares about the laws i never got cought and also raced passed a cop and he didnt do anything which was odd but yeah it is an adreniline rush when u hit fifth gear goin 165 down the highway fun shit haha fuck laws there meant to be broken

  • @killerclown2031 I raced back when we had REAL cars ... yea it was fun, until I landed on my head at 130MPH while racing a crotch rocket... so I became a COP and started scraping stupid shits off the HWY ... go have your fun, I turned in my scraper so somebody else can deal with it ... and laws are not meant to be broken ... they keep us from destroying ourselves... we,as a people, are too stupid to live without them ..

  • @sureshot40sw You sound like henery Kissenger, I hope you dont support his views as you say.

  • @gallanator ... don't know the guy .. sorry

  • @killerclown2031

Save money and go to a race ring ... not on public roads.

You'll have adrenaline and won't kill anybody ... except yourself if you want to take the risk.

OK, laws are sometimes made to be broken but not by taking lifes.

Your brain and respect should be stronger than your testosterone, don't you think ?

  • @kalisteboat Live a little will yea. Race ring? why the hell would i want to watch a bunch of rednecks racing in a circle, doesn't impress me. Good racers wont injure people. I can guarantee you that most accidents happen at low speeds.

  • See the most innovative design team in the automotive industry. Search on Youtube under "meet the innovators Volvo CE"

  • The main message delivered in this video is totally ruined by the bastard standing in front of the racing cars, waiting to die. Next time please lie down on the floor to make sure the racing cars will crush you down.

  • The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But the Oil coporations life depends on covering this up,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Let the revolution begin!

  • @porscheghcje so be careful dick cheny is watching us....

  • The thing with the Tesla is that (last I checked) the batteries have to be replaced every 5 years, which isn't good for your wallet or the environment, but if you have the money for the Tesla I suppose buying new batteries wouldn't be a problem.

  • @aresrin Did your car battery last a lot more than 5 years ?? Maybe there but in Quebec, battery has to be change too lol

  • @pimpinsunfire Yes, all cars need their batteries changed, which is no big deal when it is only one battery, but the Tesla has 6,831 batteries, replacing them can't be easy or cheap.

  • @pimpinsunfire Of course all cars need to have their batteries replaced, which is no problem when your car has only 1 standard battery, but the tesla has 6,831 state-of-the-art Lithium-ion batteries. There is no way those are cheap or easy to replace.

  • @aresrin they say they should last 10 years. So quite good.

  • @aresrin with all the money you save from gas over 10 years it pays for its self

  • @M3TurboE46 well what about the battery. its is eventually going to die just like any other rechargeable battery

  • @lochidoconjc It will need replaced after 10 year's......That's damn good

  • @aresrin

Wrong, only one battery in one "box". Of course it is not necessary to plug all this batteries ! Concerning the price ... hummm ... in ten years you will have other cheaper technologies made with others products than Lithium. So let's get a new energy.

Nevertheless my concern is how to recycle the old batteries. Everybody say that we can nearly reach 100% of recycling but i have a huge doubt.

  • the power of instant torque is what usally wins it out for the Tesla, however, in the long run it will feel the wrath of your average minivan.

  • @timrocket2008 that's a crock of shit and ignorant criticism you don't know what you're talking about

  • damn that idiot nearly got run over....doesn't know where to stand

  • no revolution time baby!!! wooooo!

  • electrotesla????

  • umm when u start a race next time stand about 2 to 3 feet in front of the cars. not 15 thats a great way to get hit dude

  • you should start car races like that all the time. good way for tards to die.

  • 84.000 euro -.-

  • no bad.. the baddest video

  • Fed video! Den sætter lidt i perspektiv hvor meget federe elektriske biler kan være!

  • My 500 pounds honda concerto (1994) has the same top speed as this 100.000 pounds car! hm....

  • Really Dumb YOur supposed to flag at the front of the car not 10 feet in front good way to DIE Please be more carefull

  • Hi guy , i have a question, how we do for connect a subwoofer and amp on a electric car? I hope it's possible in otherwise the electric car is for da dumbass and is fucking shit, u see?

  • @bmdu69 The new Tesla Model S will have a TV and a bose stereo system. You could have a full box with 15's in it, the only thing to consider is the more electricity you use on TV's and stereo the shorter your range will be. The Modle S will have a range of 300 miles per charge(a charge takes 45 minutes and cost $4-5). Im on the waiting list for a Model S and that was one of my questions, even if you had some 15's blasting and TV's your range would still be about 150 miles.

  • thanks for ask me ;) So i can connect a subwoofer and big amp on it??? True? if it's that, that's very cool, and i would want put a screen dvd high definition too, it's that's possible? i know i have lots of questions but..............

  • @bmdu69Yeah its all good,im on the waiting list for the Tesla model S witch is their luxury sedan&i asked all the same questions.Just like if you had a BIG ass system in a regular car you will get worst gas millage, your range will be shortened but not to point of it losing it practically. Mine is gonna have TVs in the headrests, mirrors&550W 12s.If you wanted to go bigger you could but at some point you may want to add another smaller battery to help out depending on how BIG of a system you want

  • I see, it's a idea for da future; how many cost the tesla in America?

  • @djchuckieb TESLA MADE EARTHQUAKES IN 1899.

    SEPTEMBER 3, 1899

    SEPTEMBER 6, 1899

    SEPTEMBER 9, 1899

"IF YOU ONLY KNEW THE MAGNIFICENCE OF THE THREE, THE SIX AND THE NINE... THEN YOU WOULD HAVE A KEY TO THE UNIVERSE."

    -NIKOLA TESLA

(AFTER CAUSING 1899 CAPE YAKATAGA AND YAKUTAY BAY EARTHQUAKES FROM COLORADO SPRINGS)

111 YEAR OLD RIDDLE SOLVED BITCHES. THAT IS WHY YOU CAN'T DATE THAT QUOTE. THAT IS WHY HE ELUDES RECOGNITION. THAT IS THE SIMPLE TRUTH THEY DILUTE WITH CONSPIRACY.

    -CMS 2010

  • @insightllc wtf does your conspiracy have to do with the position of the flag guy?

  • @djchuckieb It has to do with the head of Tesla Motors Elon Musk getting a half billion dollar D.O.E. loan during a recession for kit cars on laptop batteries because he knows that Nikola Tesla caused the September 1899 Cape Yakataga and Yakutat Bay earthquakes from his Colorado Springs lab on...

    September 3, 1899

    September 6, 1899

    September 9, 1899

"If you only knew the magnificence of the three, the six and the nine... then you would have a key to the universe."

    -Nikola Tesla

  • @djchuckieb Yeah, because the issue with street racing is wear the flagger stands...not the fact that street racing, itself, is incredibly dangerous. Pick your battles bro.

  • @300Z31 Learn to spell, everything is dangerous street racing will never die...

  • @djchuckieb Learn to use punctuation. I type fast, and used the wrong 'wear'. You caught me.

I'm not saying street racing will ever die. All I'm saying is, the guy starting the race is NOT the major issue here. I agree, driving itself is dangerous; but why push your luck? If you want to race, and you crash and kill yourself, good for you. But, what about the innocent children riding in the car that happens to be on the same street? What did they do?

  • @300Z31 I'm sorry I grew up @ 16th & Lafayette in Detroit... So I DO NOT have a problem with street racing at all just where the guy is standing and like you've never been to a drag strip or any street races they are no more dangerous than driving down the freeway and there are a lot less children at the street races then on our freeways

  • @djchuckieb Good call, totally dumb, he almost got hit!

  • @djchuckieb sure a cool way to die

like "u got killed by a tuned vacuum cleaner" oh yeah!

i rather have the porsche, awesome sound :)

  • @djchuckieb

why? let him die. Less idiots will crawl out of his crotch.

    I support idiot-free world!

  • @djchuckieb he seemed ok to me

  • @djchuckieb He's from Denmark, he can't help it..

  • нихера не видно)))

  • Nice!

  • We don't see anything !

  • The Tesla would win hands down all the power of its motor can be put down near enough instantly whereas an engine builds its speed/power over time!

  • They've got a stupid guy standing in the middle of the road in front of 2 drag racing sports cars and a stupider cameraman who shoots at the starting point and you can't even see which car won.

  • Nice Tesla I got to ride in a Tesla it was great I made a video of it. Ill post it for a response. I also made some other videos of the Tesla with a overview with the sales guy details about the car.

  • Yeah! Of Course the Tesla wins...it's just the simpler and in this case better technology!

  • Nice

  • Is it just me or is standing in the middle of the road kind of stupid? I would likely do it by waving the flag from the side road. Oh well, people die of stupidity all the time.

  • @Microglia1 so true ...

  • @Microglia1 No cure for stupidity ....to bad. lol

  • @Microglia1 Im surprised hes still here XD

  • @Microglia1 Natural selection, my friend!

  • @ejuoi No car company tells you fuel economy of their vehicles under harsh driving conditions. A Ford GT will get you 4-5 mpg under harsh driving conditions and with that its tank will give you only 75 miles before you fill up. Ferrari's 599GTB gets less than 2 mpg when you're pushing it hard.

  • @jrs89 Ya but in the GT and Ferrari, you can just fill the tank back up in 45 seconds.

I am guessing the tesla has to charge for a couple hours.

But I am sure glad to see a fun looking electric car.

  • Le cabriolet, des sensations garanties, même sans être super-puissants : vivent les cabs !

PS : à l'inverse des berlines qui brident les sensations, même coupées

  • By far the best car I have ever had a drive in, fantstic!

  • tesla rulz

  • haha i er sq danskere!!!! fin stil, hvad andgår bilerne!! jeg kender en der også ejer en Tesla.

  • It wont break down. Simple as that. Electric motors last forever especially brushless ones.

  • well its to do with resonance of energy, ok so when you have radio it loves to resonate with the structures of the same wire length plus a few harmonics of the carrier frequency, (main purpose of filters in radio to stop harmonics), so low frequecy radio will only resonate at the wire lengths, humans are not as long as the wire lengths of what these waves of energy would resonate at so they are safe. once u hit microwaves and up thats when energy resonates with cell structures.teslas is not this

  • Most weak point is the batteries. They wear out after a while.

  • how about the body?...is it safe in collisions?

  • @BadAndUgly Batteries last >100K miles

  • but the batteries wont :(

    Thats my biggest concern

  • what dumb ass stands out 30 feet in front to start the race. Once spin out and your leg is done for. Fool

  • Ha, I was thinking the same thing!

  • Coolest thing about electric motor is that it does not require gears to produce torque, while it can attain the torque by itself. + to that when you need to go backwards, electric motor can rotate both directions.

  • WTF are you trying to say miss18sun? Jesus christ

  • wow dude instead of a porsche i would rather spend 45k on a subaru wrx sti

  • 45k? The car is registrated and owned it Denmark. A Subaru in denmark costs about 100k +/-

  • carrera had roof down. Get a coupe and its a different story.

  • and did the telsa had a roof?

  • facciamo fatica a tenere i condizionatori l'estate senza mandare in casino il sistema, compriamo energia elettrica dalla francia... come la ricarichiamo? dinamo?

  • Rocky.. you're a retard. 0-60 in 4 seconds... how is that no balls?

Just cuz you wouldnt be able to handle the power, you dont have to try and put it down.. fag

  • You aren't very smart are you?

  • would I rather have the sound? Yes

Facts are though that one day we are going to be out of oil, but we still have plenty of sources for electrical power.

Electric engines are 99.9% efficient and you have the ability to charge your batteries when you brake.

Don't you feel just a little bit better knowing that in 50 years everyone may be driving something like the tesla instead of some three wheeled machine with styling cues from fisher-price???

  • Its a 996

  • Check out th new Tesla Roadster Sport model. It's faster off theline (0-60 a 0-100) than the old roadster, has a longer range, and higher stats across the board. (including price)

  • it still does 125 mies over 200 km thats still not bad for a drag

  • Now if that tesla wanted to really beat that porsche wouldnt it have had to been able to really tear it up off the line? because doesnt it have a pretty low top speed?

  • Did somebody tell you demand for this car is down? The were pulling your leg. You can't buy this car there is a waiting list.

  • @rcypert True. If there is a waiting list, that means demand for the Tesla is UP, not down, because the manufacturers can't produce the cars fast enough. So, they'll have to hire more people and jot down the names of those waiting in line.

  • @rcypert so demand is actually up...supply is down.

  • Hvor kommer i fra?

  • lol I guess you'll just have to find some other way to impress the local sluts. Hopefully when you said 'girls' it wasn't just being lazy, because you don't troll for women my friend lol.

  • I agree with Inemtsev. The Telsa is in its innovative stage, and only a small percentage of people are willing to commit. However, supply is very low which drives the initial price way up. When they go from 1000 to 10,000 units, you'll see a significant drop. (not $40 i don't think lol). Also, when the price comes down to the 50k range, you'll see competitor models real quick. Awesome vehicle isn't it!

  • They got Model S for 50k in 2011. I think about 20 thousand units going for that production.

  • Grande B.S. :)

  • Or buy a new battery pack.. which can be bought from all the cash you saved from using cheaper electricity instead of €1.50/litre petrol

  • I actually know economics quite well, but the problem is not in the demand its with the cost, when too few models are produced cost is higher so the price has to stay high, when more and more models are produced its cheaper for them to make the cars as they are produced by mass. Wiki this "Economy of scale"

  • Although for the price viewpoint it is true that Tesla is still priced much too high, but that is simply because very few people have been buying them, once more and more people buy them price will drop and everybody will be able to afford a fuel efficient car, its basic economics. Just like DVD burners used to cost $500 and now they sell for $40. Same thing will happen here, good job TESLA!!!

  • The Tesla Roadster would even go faster stripped down and with lighter batteries :)

  • that's true i guess lol but what Tesla should do is make there own custom battery specifically for cars instead of using them from laptops that's clearly not the way it should go

  • stock configurations, it got raped. It shouldnt need to be stripped down to win this race.

  • I think oilhammer04 works for Exxon or one of the oil companies out there. He is probably one of those Drill Baby, drill!!! republicans.

  • Telsa Roadster or the new Chevy Volt? Which is better? Speed wise

  • No contest. 0-60 in 4 seconds? That's insanely good.

    Plus...

The Chevy Volt is only electric for 40 miles... then it's a hybrid. The Tesla is 100% electric over a range of 250 miles.

The Chevy Volt is a concept waiting for a battery. The Tesla is a sweet sports car waiting for a driver.

I'm saving like crazy and looking for creative ways to finance a Tesla. This car not only buries the Volt, I think it's the coolest car available today.

    Make mine red, please :)

  • Dude yes, the Tesla Roadster and the Ford GT have a tie on my top dream cars list.

  • I found out like 6mins ago about this car, and i'm already looking for ways to finance a Tesla! I don't care if it's the cheapest one. Electric cars Rulz, plus you can say "I drive a Tesla and shoot Gauss rifles" which is totally cool in the geek community :)

  • Dude. I have a girlfriend and don't live in my parent's basement. How much cooler can one get in the geek community?

Besides. My power nine are all beta near mint, my die collection cannot be carried by one man alone, and I have Leonard Nimoy's home phone number.

    On speed dial.

    :)

  • I'm sorry to tell you that your attempt to impressed me has failed.

I'm a SW fan. Maybe if you had some sort of ,Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu action figure, signed by him I would be impressed. Besides, I'm spanish so i don't have acces to I don't have acces to your continent. I can assure you that spanish girls are way hotter than americans. :) :)

  • Phoboz, you n00b! It's usually the Yanks that make such grotesque assumptions. What makes you think I'm an American?

I've been to Spain and I've been to the US and there were hot girls in both places. Limiting yourself by thinking one is better than the other is horribly myopic.

Just for the record, the hottest girl I've ever seen was in Dublin, Ireland.

Also, Sam is here playing some Texas Hold 'Em and he says to tell you "It's 'to impress' mother fucker, not 'to impressed'."

    :)

  • 3 things,

1º I don't think I'm better than anyone, just was joking.

2º I tried to correct my comment right after posting it, but turns out you can't. I'd like to remember Sam that I'm Spanish, let me see your Spanish writing and understanding "Mala avalancha de mierda te pille en un callejon sin salida con la boca abierta". I didn't insulted anyone and tell your smart ass friend that it's motherfucker, not mother fucker. If you are going to insult, at least do it properly

    3ºYOU FAIL AGAIN

  • PD: On which Poker Network is Sam playing?I'm at Pstars and Everest. I'd love a Heads Up.

  • 3 things:

    1: I got that :)

2: Sam says it's 'remind' not 'remember'... and we got that you're not English-speaking. Let me see if summers in Mallorca brought me anything. Hmm. Something about a lot of shit and an open mouth? Dude. Is this a confession? Do you eat shit?

3: The only fail here is yours. You failed to recognize a joke. Back to English class for you. Do not cross 'Go'. Do not collect $200.

  • P.S. Network? Sam plays live, motherfucker... and he says someone with as horrible English as you shouldn't be playing grammar police and correcting typos.

  • Well, I teach english to spanish students, i work as a translator and I've got a Cambridge Diploma, so don't tell me my English is horribl. Your Spanish is tremendously awful and I haven't seen you writing it yet. When I comment here I'm stoned and what you read is without even doing an effort. Joke? What Joke? You are so original that cannot come up with a good answer and copied mine. And the shit eater here is Sam. If you knew Spanish, you would know that. Monopoly Jokes?12yo sense of humor.

  • I also work as a translator. Ohh you did write motherfucker right this time, maybe I'm doing a good work at correcting typos. I also play live, you idiot. But good players know that you win money 10times faster online. Maybe Sam doesn't have multitabling abilities. And since I doubt Sam is near Spain(because you haven't told me your country yet) I discarded the live option. But I would get his money anyways. Judge people after you know them, not by your assumptions. Not wasting more time with u

  • Translator? Spanish to what? Bad English? "a good work"? Considering that English is a second language to both of us and my English is far better than yours I suggest you get a refund on your 'Cambridge education'.

    Idiot? Now you're projecting.

Good players? On-line poker and live poker are very different games. You not knowing that makes it clear how good you are. There's nothing funnier than watching an on-line 'pro' try real poker... except maybe watching you try to speak English.

  • Oh, the Tesla Roadster is my favorite car in the whole wide world!

    I am saving up. :)

  • your reasoning only makes sense if you drive more than 250 miles everyday. The average person's commute is what, 40 or 50 miles a day? The new Model S from Tesla is going to have a range of 300 miles and you can charge it in 45minutes from a normal outlet.

  • Again the roadster is not for EVERYONE anymore than a Ferrari is for everyone. But it was the big sexy to get the investors and the press. The Model S is the car for a greater majority at a much more reasonable 40k it competes with every other luxury sedan. And the next car in the work with the company is a 30k mid-class sedan.

  • The Tesla model S takes a full charge in 45 mins, plugs in anywhere and can go 300 miles on a charge. So it will work for 90 % of drivers 95% of the time I would guess! And Tesla is opening dealerships in Miami and Chicago so I would guess the heat ain't really much of an issue.

  • Yeah, but we gotta start somewhere and this car seems like an awful good start. At least it send the message that electrics can be attractive and very fast. Gas cars are not doomed, but we'll see a mix in the future.

  • I agree, think of how much more time and money is invested in petrol/diesel vehicles compared to electric! and electric is already competing with them very successfully! ... A brilliant place to start for electric vehicles!

  • Damn street racers should be thrown in jail.

  • So does the Tesla have gears too or you just push the gas pedal?

  • gas pedal
