I did not get The Family Stone. What did it want to be? Serious drama or comedy. That dinner table scene was really uncomfortable and not in a daring-topic-discussion kind of way. It just seemed forced. And the slapstick spills and slips in the kitchen were very random. Okay, maybe it just didn't blend the genres together well.
