  • Sooooo blind people should stop being

religeous if they cant see or read anything

  • ".. and he was able to pray to god on behalf of his people"

Rediculously helpless people. Can't even pray. This would say about them one of two things. One... they WOULDN'T. (ethics, normal behavior etc) Two, they COULDN'T. The couldn't is the one I think is more likely. Oh they must have tried and how they failed. As the jewish God only listens to big figures and the jewish people themselves have always been "the people", ie. a big union of sheeplike followers. Not believers. Followers.

  • well, narrations ur talking abt all seems not logic. the logic says that people have done something very insane that they won't narrate it ,which is that they actually worshiped that monument. This means that brother of moses can never ever make them another god to worship cuz he is a good man and knows very will what makes God furious so this monument story was abt the reason why the have been puzzled for 40 days not abt anger of moses. IMO

  • There is one thing in this that is completely wrong and that is that the woman and children gave up their gold. It says very clearly in the commentary that the women and children were higher spiritually and refused to give up their gold and instead had to be forced.. As a result the refused to particaipate and were also spared from punishment of the same level as those who participated willingly later.

  • @sugarmagsun Hey Sugarmagsun, you're right, of course -- different commentaries on

the Torah do say this. For our Torah series, however, we asked our

narrators to confine themselves to the Torah text itself, and not

include stories from commentaries and additional traditional texts.

Like the stories themselves, we wanted to retell stories that would

serve as jumping-off points for those just starting to dip their feet

into the Torah to explore those tales themselves.

  • this is really good!

  • An interesting perspective! Thank you!
