are the two end of time episodes good? im pretty sure you have seen them both by now right? coz i live is australia and every doctor who ep is like a month after the one shown in the u.k, so frustrating.

yeah it is, the end of time hasn't even shown in australia yet! but i got a dvd of both parts 2 weeks ago so its all good

The reason people love Tennant's Doctor is because he is hyper, charasmatic, clever and cheeky rolled into one, being "the timelord victorious" made him the nutty professor which does not suit his doctor. But your review was good i am just curious as to why you find the doctors chirpy personality annoying?

I think that maybe the Ice Warriors created the Flood, the Flood can't be the Ice warriors because most ice warriors episodes take place after the waters of mars.

Uhmn, I reaLLY liked this more than the latest batch of junk and I love your reviews but Adeilaide: couldn't she have just vanished and been declared dead? Did she really have to shoot herself? I think she didn't have to.

Thanks for the review Lewis, Im with you, it was a really good generally creepy episode, a huge improvement from the Planet of the Dead. Your right the Children in Need clip was less impressive,I wanted to see more of the 'darker Doctor' and him being hyper and wearing the silly glasses and hat completely shat all over the great dark ending of Waters of Mars.Also I hope they dont result to bringing back the Daleks in the final as thats now been done to death,its like we get it now,daleks are bad

I sort of love the hyper Doctor but I agree mostly on what you say. The introducing via web pages was very irritating but it shows the fixed point bit quite well when Adelaide's page changed. The Doctor creeped me out a bit at the end and then the Odd was like WOO Yey! OOD!

in the CIN clip, yes he was hyper, but not in the same way he was before. He was rude, ignorant, showing off, and just as much of a megalomaniac as he was in WoM. He could easily switch back and I think he will.

Either way, from what I gather storywise it's about him trying his best to cheat death, just like the Master. So the Time Lord Victorious isn't just going away.

Agree, I think that up the last moments of his death, he will be very much in the defient mode, not wanting to face death, and not wanting to accept that he was wrong in WOM. And that was why he was bragging about having it off with the Queen, saving and naming a planet. He has never done that before. He is still very much mad and dark, than ever before.

I agree with you that the Doctor suited this new "darker" self, as it was a part or him that we had been told about (Journey's End, when Davros calls him the "Destroyer of Worlds and such) but we had only really seen in wishy-washy ways, up until now. I think that even though he seems all hyper in the clip we saw on C.I.N, I think he is going to turn dark again during the episode. He had a taste of power, I think he'll want more. I might be totally wrong, but meh. ^_^ Thanks for posting this.

i thought the episode was more adult too and want to see more adult stories being made; however i like the doctor's sillyness.

i think you are right though that the doctor should have stayed serious. Adalade shot herself then he went off partying :s

i know what you mean about the end of time having like no ipact cause every episode the world is in jepordy (not just in doctor who but in torchwood and SJA as well) so it's kinda like meh xx but i disagree about the children in need clip xx it made me really look forward to the next episode so like you said roll on christmas =D =D

the CIN clip shows a Doctor that is still very different to the usual Tenth Doctor (who usually if hyper still has a certain charm or innocence behind the wackiness), with intentionally forced humour. Someone who is acting like a carefree git to show that he isn't ready to die, a nice development to the "No!" scene at the end of WOM.

Personally I didn't like the story. The episode started off quite boring but once the doctor was walking away and hearing all those messages I knew what was going to happen.

I'm not really looking forward to the christmas one because it has the master in it. I have yet to see a good master story (classic or new who). They all just end up the same

Not really. I liked Eric Roberts' master more then John Simm's master.

Simm's Master is just someone who is trying to be silly were Eric's master was evil. However all the masters (Roger Delgado, Anthony Ainley, Eric Roberts and John Simm) have all failed in my mind. They don't really bring out any good stories. Personally I would of loved if the monk replaced the master has the main opposing timelord

I would have to agree. I don't think the actors have that much to go on. The writers have never got the master just right and the master feels 2d

Pretty good review, I didn't find it that scary but I can pinpoint the moments that would classify as pretty dark.

Did you, like so many other 'tubers, find any of the plot holes in that episode? The net was buzzing since the moment it finished
