Damn straight! Sorry to the nubs that either started with or have only played 7... IT'S FUCKING HORRIBLE!!!! Both from a graphical and story standpoint. (Can't say it was the first attempt at using polygons.. Most N64 games that were older than FF7 had better graphics and they're compressed and dumbed down to all fuck on a 64MB cartridge while FF7 has 3 700MB CDs.)

There was a story present in 7, but it continued to fall apart as it "progressed". Never said 8 was the best, but it seems to me you've never really played it seeing as you can't remember the reason why Squall never got close to anyone. (SPOILER: It was because Ellone disappeared) And the one you're thinking of is actually 9.

i have completed it (many years ago) and hey lets not drag 9 into this that one was my favorite (althogh 7 is the best) and the story of 7 progresses and gets better, fair enough it goes down hill after midgar but when the you get past the midgar zolom its better again so that like what 10 minuets, 8 though is "yay iv got balam garden moving" then 2 minuets l8tr "hey i feel like playing digimon world this is getting kinda boaring" then u get the ragarok, time messes up and it gets really boaring

7 is only labeled as "best" because it's the only one everyone has played at least once. Most of the people agreeing however have never touched the rest of the series and in the case of many of the ones I've encountered, refuse to touch the rest of the series. But to be honest, I'd rather play 6. The fight with Kefka was far more entertaining than Sephiroth.

TO be honest, I don't feel threatened by Sephiroth, considering the only time you ever see the real him is when he's trapped in mako crystal, which, might I add, happened before the game started when he was stabbed and through into the reactor by a level 1 Cloud

When I played FFVIII, and when this Limit Break... "occurred", I always thought how pointless it is to shoot laser all the way to space, and then strike it couple meters (or tens in feets, I dunno, meh xD) right in front of you. A lil' bit overdoing it ^^
