  • Awesome man. I play on a modal fretboard. is it any different playing on a chromatic as far as your fingerings?

  • @DeadSilent120 Thanks for watching. Well, yes it is different considering that I am playing frets that you don't have. Also, the way I'm playing this, there are some accidentals that you can't play on a diatonic fretboard.

  • didnt know these things existed until about 5 secs ago :P

  • it wasn't until halfway through that i realized this was a cover. My dad used to always play this on his Animals record. :) beautiful version

  • @Greengulchleaves Thanks for watching. And although I was inspired by the Animals version, I was not trying to copy them. And in case you didn't know, the Animals were doing a cover when they did this song. This is a old traditional song that was first recorded by Texas Alexander in 1927.

  • Great job, I am really intrigued about this instrument, never saw it before.

  • @Pinksugarelephant Thanks for watching. If your intrigued, then you should get one. Mountain dulcimers are a lot of fun to play.

  • @buchananstreet Why don't you tell us where you are from so we can make a generalized judgement on your country based on how unkind and rude you behave? Is it that hard for you to focus on the amazing skills of this musician, or are you just jealous that your minute talents extent to insulting people you don't know?
