• im learning this right now. nice use of the pedals

  • One of the better videos I have seen on here, nice presentation

  • You play wonderfully I think. Nevermind the ugly effects, that's sort of a "mothers' thing" I guess.. :-) I like your hands though. They look beutiful and ethereal.

I'll just start learning this piece. Good luck to me.:-)

  • Nice video!! watch me playing Walz in A major/minor!, search "PianoWhiteAndBlack" the best version every1 ever heard~

  • Sounds rather mystical in a way...why not relax and enjoy the talent put before you.

  • i agree with you, if you are saying his performance was good, but i'd like to comment, that the trillers were way! too unprecisely played. i am playing this myself right now and it is not that hard to play clearly and more distinguished.

  • had to play it on solo recital i like the way you played it.

  • It's amazing..:)

  • I HATE THE ACOUSTICS IN THAT ROOM!!!

  • I played this piece, accept I playerd it alot slower; is it wrong to play the piece more slowly, or is it safely open to interpretation?

  • All music can be interpreted however you want....but Chopin intended it to be played at 113= quarter note as a minimum

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant performance and nice video!

  • Good playing and nice video!

  • take your foot off the pedal once in a while

  • its the acoustics of the room more than lack of dampening i think. he has mentioned the noise etc

  • I think it's just the awful acoustics of the room, not his foot on the pedal.

  • how old is this dude? cause i can play this and im eleven

  • It's a Post piece but hard to play well. Yes it's easy to play but you need rubato, feeling etc. he does a good job.

  • I played this for an exam i like this song

  • how long did it take you to learn this?

  • it's easy; i learned it in 2 days

  • beautiful, play for me :)

  • I like it! You play so naturally and so sincerely

  • wonderful, do you by any chance have the sheets for this peice? :D

  • wie ich dieses Stück liebe ^^ Tol!!!!!

  • I would like you to play this waltz again under your contempory capabilities!

  • is this op.34 no. 2?

  • op.posth no 19

  • I have to learn Chopin Waltz in E minor over the summer.

  • thats beautiful,chopin rocks :) 5/5

  • nice playing"!!!!!! Beautiful interpretation and what a beautiful and romantic piece

  • i love this song....great job

  • what the hell happened at 1:37

  • anything thing in the minor! Good selection.

  • Me encanta este vals, me transmite mucha ternura y es magnifico, por cierto sale en la pelicula "Noches de Sol", con unas maravillosas vistas de San Petersburgo.

  • OMG i wanna cry ;_;

  • successo brilliante. great work my man!

  • I love this, you play it very beautifully! I am hoping to play this song for my exam, thank you for the inspiration!

  • gut gemacht

  • wow,gut gemacht,ich mag es

  • You played it very well, but the background-effects... (You know it better... ;-) )

  • This is pretty.

  • im working on this piece i just need to play it faster

  • acustica della sala troppo fracassona

  • Whatever he says^^

  • @Dehus lol

  • @Dehus he's saying your room acoustics are shit

  • I love the acoustics in the that room. It's too bad that great acoustics don't discriminate against background noise!

  • OOH. im playing this song. it's pretty,

  • im working on this piece too

  • nice :) I'm working on this song now ^^ started on it since wednesday can only play page one so far ^^

  • Stupenda. Peccato il suono.

  • how can you listen to a waltz in THAT bad quality.

if i hear chopin,i wanna listen to it.but if i listen to this video,my stomach turns and my ears fall of.

  • Then maybe don't listen to it?

Sometimes life can be soooooooo easy Oo

  • Well, I think you did a beautiful job! Magnifique!

  • whoa.

  • I love playing this waltzer, it's fantastic.......

    I love Chopin!

  • Does your mother mix your videos? You're strange.

  •
I did this before i went to Australia for 6 months as an exchange student as some kind of gift for my relatives.
I played this, left the tape in Germany and my mother mixed it.

  • You're totally not strange dude, this piece is great.

  • You play well too! But in my opinion too fast and not soft.

And in my opinion the part form 1:34 to 1:40 has to be more clear. Don't you think?

    How old are you?

  • i play this better! chopin wrote the most beautiful pieces for piano!

  • Good on you. Proof?

  • Thank you for recording, but could any one re-record? Its really beautiful but the poor sound recording drives me crazy. "Fryderyk Szopen" played it wonderfully but it was added almost three years ago and who knows how long before that it was preformed? I can't find a good recording anywhere :(

  • Does any of you know if there are sheets of this waltz online?? Or does anyone have them on the computer or could scan them for me?? I'd appreciate :)

  • its well played but a few mistakes too much for a waltz thats so easy.. thats like the first waltz that everybody learns..

  • I know, but this recording is 'bout 5years old now^^

  • You played this piece so exquisitely; a waltz that is rather sombre, but nevertheless you reminded us of it being a waltz. However, you should have diminished the pace towards the end because, even though you were playing a waltz, it is recognizable that its end should be rather peaceful and almost unnoticed--a sad memory that vanishes and goes away as if wafted by the air. I wished the acousitcs would have been better so that it sounded more fantastic.

  • not that the comment is bad, but while reading it, it reminded me of blanche from

"a streetcar named desire" just the way it was worded

  • ohhh so sweet...., bravissimo!

  • I'm learning to play this song right now, but I never imagined it would go this fast!

  • Nice, im using this to tutor myself.

cause im learning it too ;]

  • lovely music. but shame on you for blaming your mom! she probably got you involved in music in the first place!

    a mother

  • he is Fryderyk Szopen

    beautiful song Polish Song

  • Why does it sound like there is a whale blowing its blow-hole in the background?

  • hahah. maybe whoever is near the camera had a stuffy nose?

  • I need some help, I have to play this song in the paino concert!

  • Which waltz is this?

  • It is the waltz in a minor, number 19,Post.

  • Not referring to the technical quality of the recording, it is musically one of the best having been posted on youtube. Excellent Job, bravissimo.

    Also a very nice piano:)

  • what opus & no is this? or Brown Index if it is posthumous??

  • Realmente precioso

  • I listen Guns N' Roses and Megadeth but this is the real music ;) I love it :)

  • It is beautiful! I would like to learn it too.

Where were you playing it on this video?

  • so what if its played in a bathroom?! anyway, the best on youtube for this song.

  • Amazing like just magnificent.

  • i learned it on 4th of piano.

  • What a beautiful interpretation !! Chopin was a genius !

  • haha reverb grand piano

  • could be recorded in a bathroom;p. beautiful anyway... kisses for u... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Oh my god, it was recorded in bathroom ?

  • does anyone know what grade this would be?

  • like a II, it's really easy

  • Terrible Acoustics in that room

  • This piece is in A minor. It is not difficult in anyways, still it's so beautiful!

  • ¡Qué bello!

  • You are very gifted :)

  • i play my left hand like elephant walking on street . = ="

  • Could you please tell me how difficult this walz is to play? I can play Chopin Walz Op69 n. 2. Is this much more difficult? I love it and I would like to learn it too.

  • I've played this piece before, and I think it's relatively easy. However, I don't know the other Waltz you mentioned.

  • it is not that difficult,i am in my second year of piano and i'm learning to play it with my teacher

  • you play very beautifully.

i am currntly learning this piece.

it was nice to hear it played by another.

  • SPAM nah jus lisenin to some chopin cos i have to analyse him for my music elective

    nice playin

  • Noone else has so many beautiful pieces..

  • How did you enjoy your time in Australia ? I am from Cairns in North Queensland. Nice playing.

  • Very good, maybe a little less pedal...Thats a nice ebony grand

  • Hi,

Goos show. Is it the acoustics or the excessive pedalling which is causing the souds from previous bars merge each other? If its the pedalling, I would suggest, pushing the pedal for every bar and also this piece can played a little stacatto.

  • love this song :)

  • This one is...magnificent -,-

    Ahh,can't resist it...

  • Heavy abuse? Why would people flame this guy? Fabulous job. Great clarity and I appreciate the dynamics and slight tempo 'phases' here and there, it gives more meaning to the piece IMO.

  • I just got a chopin waltz book, and I flipped around, this was at the end, and I basically sight read it perfectly. A MINOR :)

  • That is so pretty! And I get to play it...and i'm much younger than him! (no offense) and remember PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT yeah right

    ps: good job :)

  • Wonderful rendition!

Those trills are haunting and yet sweetly poignant at the same time...

Another reason why I love Chopin!

  • Erm... Your tempo is not right. It's like slow at the first bar then suddenly very fast And you played the third bar wrongly. The dynaics are not very obviously.

  • Thats lovely. A nice rendition.

  • nice well done ^:)^

  • Lovely! I'm trying to play this song without the sheets...

  • suppperrrr supperrr suppperrrr......

  • chopin è semplicemente un pianista degno di lode..

  • I hate Kawai pianos.

  • are the trills supposed to be done on the beat or just before it?

  • There are not trills, but they are counted before the beat, Just though, like a really fast rolled cord

  • that sucks, i always did them right on the beat. Now i have to practice them correctly. Thanks for the info.

  • I don't like the pedaling. It sort of makes a dissonant sound. It may be the echo in the room also. It just sounds different than I am used to playing it.

  • Hola! soy de Argentina, y no conocía este vals en la menor... Me encantó tu interpretación, lo limpio de la técnica y sobretodo el sonido sumamente dulce.

    Te felicito!!!

  • Whatever he said :P

  • what is the opus number?

  • It's posthumous.

  • number 19

  • thank you... i got it ;)

  • I love your piano playing!

  • this is truly beautiful - well done! :)

  • sublime:)

  • you played very will

  • you play so well

  • WOW. Simple songs can be cool!!

  • this song is soo simple i played in a concert when i was in yr 4

  • Great, you're so good...

  • but i cant ply it anymore because i cant remember it

  • that was beautiful~

  • no no it's Waltz n°17 in a minor, op. posthume.

  • wat opus number and which movement is this?

  • Im not quite sure, but i think Waltz No.19 in A minor, Op.posth.

  • what op. number and movement?

  • CHE SPETTACOLO!!!

  • I love it. Slow, with emotion. I also use the pedal in this piece. I think it brings more emotion and softness. (you can watch my video). Bref, Awesome interpretation.

  • I always use pedal on this song--it sounds a lot better. Ah, yes... my first chopin piece. Brings back memories.

I would kill for that piano, though--I'm stuck with a little upright in my living room.

Great job--I'll forgive the little e-natural slip on measure 48 ;). We've all done that one time or another.

  • are you supposed to use pedal in this piece even though it doesn't say to?

  • Well, this might come from the room and the bad quality of the camera (sorry for that), but why shouldn't i be supposed to use pedal, if I interprete it this way,

  • Oh! I love have you've done this! you are fabulous its so excellent and moving, I just love it.

  • you are GREAT!!

  • exellent

  • soo great and wonderful !!

  • Excellent!

I would love to play on that piano.

The room that its in too...

    great job

  • Well, the room isn't anything amazing, but it definitly is a beautiful piano. Good job, too, with the playing. I like that song a lot.

  • Its the room that gives the semi-bright echo.

So its really nice to something like this for a change, because most of the personal piano vids on youtube are done in a small room or living room.

  • Yeah, I know. While the room is bright, I still would have taken out the fire extinguisher and the portable chairs.
