@georgegrasser Alaska supplies 20% of the USA oil consumption, I think everyone would notice there gas prices going up.

@georgegrasser Don't think so, Alaska makes up around 1/5th of the USA total area which is an impressive amount; the biggest oil source for the country within the country, the biggest forest area and a huge accumulative reserve of fresh water, and so on. If such a land treasure didn't matter then there wouldn't be wars for territory. And if the sea level should rise and eat the coasts the Alaska's high altitude area would be so needed territory, think about it...
