I remember having to sell my first set up that I worked hard to get and I know EXACTLY how it feels haha, now I have 3 M3Ds one MK2 with cases for them all, 2 vestax and 1 numark battle mixers and a stanton back up, with 2 denon CDJs, numark dj controller, with traktor to boot

I also parted with a set of MK2's many years ago. I just invested in a Traktor /Vestax setup and bought a pair of beat up MK2's off Craigslist to bring them back to life. In the mean time I just couldn't do without so, I got a pair of M3D's with cases. Now I have a a pair of MK2's "in the workshop" and a pair of M3D's on the desk. My girlfriend is not ready for this, nor are the neighbors.

Side comment to djreflex14, only some models are being discontinued.

mkII and m3d have the same motor. only difference is m3d got the reset pitch button. other than that same exact table. i own a pair of both.

One of my decks pop up light come up really fast, it happened the other day, it used to come up slow like the other one. I also noticed that if i dont push hard, it doesnt come up but the light goes on. is that just age? ive only had them a few months

hey how you ever heard of the Audio Technica At-PL120? if so can you tell me the difference besides popularity from that deck and a 1200

You can't compare the AT-PL120 to a Technics SL1200MK2. That's like comparing a Mercedes to a Ford. Sure, they both get you places, but one will outlive the other in quality and resale price. They are completely different turntables. There is a reason the AT-PL120 costs $200 and the MK2 $430 - it's the quality you get with 1200s. Im not hyping the 1200s, it doesn't need the hype. It has stood the test of time, 30 years, and still going. You can even buy used 1200, and it will be better.

The only other turntable I can forsee buying in the near future would be a Numark TTUSB so I can quickly take my existing vinyl and throw it on the HD. Maybe when I strike it rich, I can put some of thoes Gold Edition Grand Masters in my desk. HA! If I ever do run across an incredible deal, I may pick it up so I can pass the savings onto some of the good people on Youtube :)
