@allornada a-fuckin'-men brother. robben is pretty much the greatest, and anyone who has seen him live knows that you can have all of his recordings, and you can watch all of his videos on youtube, but until you've been able to witness him playing for a whole night live you just don't know what an unbelievable player/musician he is. i'm not a religious man, but i'll say it anyway: God bless robben ford.
Hi! This was recorded at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico CA around 5 years ago (I was there, great show!). The band is The Ford Brothers, the other guitar player is Volker Strifler. Robben was playing his Super, the other amp is Chris Cain's Music Man, who was playing with them. Hope this helps!
Easy to tell the difference. Voices are as distinctive as fingerprints. Doesn't always mean they can be distinguished easily. Nevertheless, I hear a considerable difference in the Ford brothers' voices.
@gosiawoodman Absolutely difference in vocal tonalities between the two. Actually, it has always been much harder for me to distinguish between women's voices (true)
Robben's rig, on this video, seems to consist of a Super Reverb, a Twin Reverb, and his delay rack. He normally uses a Zendrive pedal when he's playing Fender amps.
Any gear heads out there know what amp/pedals Robben was using in this video? I see two amps behind him,it looks like a fender twin reverb but i cant determine if the small black combo next to the fender was part of his rig as well.
