The exact moment to press the Exceed button is right when Nero says his phrase for that attack, like when you use streak, its right when he begins to say, "Crash!" (etc.). Its the same for every single other attack too. Whenever he says something, you need to catch it at the first breadth of him saying it. Its hard, I know, but that why it says in the description, "Your timing needs to be perfect". Youll get the hang of it sooner or later.

@karlmalone1289 i get 3 bars like over 50% of the time i try... still havent found the exact timing for it though... oh and if you never get it... try checking in the shops and see if youve bought MAX-Act for nero... because you need to buy that before trying to get the 3 exceed gauges to full in one press...
on my second play through the game ive gotten better at it basically same as u 50 percent. could never get it my first playthrough prolly didnt buy max act like u said.

i like getting all or most of the achievements in a game but i dont care about my overall gamerscore i actually wish i could remove that from my gamertag hahah.

naah..max act can be activated when u press at perfect time,if nero's attack have a total of 100 frame,normal act have 20 frame in the 100 frame and max act maybe have only 5 frame in the 20 frame that can normal act
you need to purcase advance skill for max exceed, also the timeing is more critical. you should just learn the max act on (ex) streak, shuffle, and calibur; they're the most practical exceed moves
try pressing the exceed button near the end of nero's attacks. practice doing a normal ground attack, and when u see his sword almost touching the ground hit the exceed button.

Exactly my point and you're absolutely right, this could be edited. At this point in time I actually am already done with this game and obtained ALL 1000 achievement points for it. (Yes I am proud of that in case you didnt catch it. Lol) but still, I never managed to pinpoint the exact frame where you had to pull the Red Queen's trigger in order to light up all 3 lamps on it. In the end, I used DRI and DFS for Dante and simply went bananas with Nero in DT with Yamato. Still a great game though.

Alright bro, I read your response and had to load up my game and memory, I also decided to play the mission again for the hell of it but as it stands...DMD mode my mission 19 completion time is 3:21. For the enemies you encounter when grabbing that Philosphers stone...Ifrit's Inferno technique and the G.Launcher are your best friends. Try to collect all orbs as fast as possible if u can. When going across the broken bridge...DT Alastor and use devil form he can fly in. The rest is history. Lol.

AUTO MAX-ACT IS ON THE PC VERSION ONLY! All of these people who say it works don't realize or never mentioned it because they didn't think of the console versions. Also on the pc version, Super Dante gets infinite style meter.
Well if you play on super nero, every attack you make will fully fill the recoil of red queen instantly thats called 'Max act'. so super nero = every attack max act automaticly.
Um no it doesnt do that, max act just makes it possible to fully charge the red queen every attack, the only benefit of the super charactors is the infinate devil trigger, the super charcters suck as you get punished for uisning them the only time i would recommend a super characer would be for some Hell and Hell fun where your score does not count on the total ranking.
No its ok mate we resolved are argument, on pc version super nero does get auto max act and on ps3 version he doesnt, I have posted a video for proof and so has Assyrian4lyf3.
I just tested it with super nero on normal and automatic and you do not get auto max act in fact it only done max act 1 time with automatic and not at all without automatic.
Yes you do, I don't what stolen or bugged DMC4 disc you have, but if you play with super nero your red queen's recoil gets fully refilled with any attack. Ask other people or watch some more vids on youtube !!
i got better idea, maybe uploader can slow motion of the movements then pause at the time uploader would press exceed.. i think it will help more people to understand

Well,as far as i noticed,you perform the Max-Act if you press L2 a little earlier than a normal charge.So,calculate the normal 1 charge for each attack and then try ti press it earlier.I practiced a lot with this and i can guarantee you it works i miss 1 out of 5.
I don´t know why....but i like more doing Max-act instead of IR....i mostly time it right...before i had max act....i missed a lot of IRs.....now i do shit load of max acts....beat bael in 1 minute last time : )

Well your video helps out a lot I was able to manage to Max-Act a few of the moves, I think what you mean by shaking is when the screen shakes? I notice this for all of Nero's special moves except I cannot get his Basic combo consistently my timing sucks haha
Could be useful if you had the original audio on there. I find it easier to go by the audio cues for when to press buttons, rather than just the visual. Like when using RG, I go by the enemy's attack sounds to know when to hit the button.
That's true hearing Nero's voice can help to know when to press Exceed button, but you won't make a lot of Max Exceed with this. I prefer watching Nero's moves.
