They are rebooting this franchise way too early. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man were awesome. Sure they weren't close to the comics, but they were entertaining and fun overall. And the main problems with this reboot is that they are making Spider-Man more like Batman when Spider-Man is supposed to be funny and wise-cracking. The new costume is just shit. Why couldn't they keep the original? Overall, I think this reboot is going to blow.

Aside from the fact that it was set in high school, I really enjoyed The Spectacular Spiderman. But admittedly part of that's because I feel the 90s Marvel animation looks like ass. And this I felt captured all the good things about the 90s series without looking like ass. Also Logan Lerman was in 3:10 to Yuma.

the film is titled the amazing spider-man when it is based on the ultimate spider-man comics. I've had enough with this reboot and it is pushing it to the max and over the top. I'll tell you what's good about the original and what's bad about the reboot.

The original stars Tobey Maguire as SM and we love it that way.

The reboot stars Andrew Garfield as SM and we hate it that way.

The original has quality in everything and we love it that way.

The reboot has no quality and everything is messed and we hate it that way.

The original is too fresh in our minds and talking about the reboot now is a fast decision.

I personally loved Spectacular Spiderman, i would even go to say it is my favorite cartoon show ever. Before seeing it, i just expected lots of decent fights between Spidey and his enemies. Instead, we got a lot of amazing fights, agreat story showing not only his superhero life but also his highschool life, and the voice acting was the best i've ever heard. There's alot of things that I'd love to mention but y'know, the word limit in youtube.

I'm rather optimistic about the reboot though

Dude, Ultimate Spider-Man is an updated version of the original story. As good as the stories from Amazing Spider-Man were, using the same stories for Ultimate would be boring and predicable, no offense. Ultimate Spider-Man is a good re-imagining on the franchise to new readers. Like a reboot of the comic book universe. AND, it 's a kick-ass series. The Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon was awesome too. At least Gwen Stacy is the first love interest. Sort of.

We get an unofficial list of details about the movie that says it will be partly inspired by the Ultimate line, and people take it as "OMG! I can't believe we're getting a word for word adaptation of the Ultimate series!!!". And I also love how his criticisms of the Ultimate comics were that everything isn't completely the same as 616. I hated the Ultimates for having Venom get killed off too quickly in his first appearance, making Deadpool a cyborg, turning the Green Goblin & the Hobgoblin into giant monsters that throw firebomb, turning Colossus into a gay, having Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch lovers, making Hank Pym a drug addict, and Hawkeye into a Wanted reject (I blame the writer Mark Millar for that)

In the Ultimate comics peter's first love interest is MJ then its Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat from the x-men then they break up and he gets back with MJ then after the ultimatum wave MJ and Peter have brocken up again for an unkwon reason and now in the new run titled Ultimate comics:Spiderman Peter's with Gwen Staceys clone that was Carnage but Venom ended up absorbing the Carnage Symbiote.

Dude you really need to actually READ Ultimate Spiderman. Gwen Stacy dies and stays dead. Its even the first thing addressed in the issue (I own the collection). What comes back isn't Gwen, but assumes the forms of its victims it interacts with.

In Ultimate Spider-Man #128, the Carnage symbiote was absorbed back into Venom (Eddie Brock)

Gwen never came back to life. For crying out loud the clones mostly all die in the volume. This was done, because fans had an out cry over Brian Micheal Bendis killing her off and Stan Lee requested that he do something to calm the backlash. So he changed the clone saga by adding a clone of her, which quickly reverted to its original state. It assumes forms, but isn't an original copy of the person.

Dude, Volume 17, Clone Saga, the writer starts things off by stating that Gwen is dead. The carnage symbiot assumes the form and memories of its victims. Octavious creates clones from the original carnage sample that eventually becomes unstables creating multiple ones. Gwen doesn't become carnage. Its a clone that has assumed her likeness and carries her memories.

I think that the producers attend to take amazing spiderman consepts and have some of the ultimate spiderman aspects in them and not all the way base the movie on ultimate spiderman. And that could not be a bad idea. Take the spectacular spiderman venom storyline for example: Eddie was Peters childhood friend, but the symbiote still was alien. And also, Kraven turned to the animal thing but still, everything else was from the amazing spiderman stories! Green goblin is not a hulk ripoff and stuff
