who would hav thought a guitar teacher, whom did guitar lessons and lost most of his income when the ression, could be making a million a year now. well, i say a million, but i wouldnt doubt hes gettn close; youtube famous. marty is self-made genious, whom taught me how to play. way to go bro. i love ur vids.
I love the blues...but many of them have this superiority complex when it comes to soloing. "I can play better than you metal head!..For I play the blues!"
I think playing is a skill no doubt...but they are kinda simple to play. It really comes down to the soul you play them with and facial expressions.
@Super2ube You have discovered our secret. Every blues player spends at least an hour a day staring in the mirror working on our funk face. Without it, we are nothing......
Marty.. well ill start by sayin holy shit. then ill continue to say that your videos walked me through guitar playing since the beginning. every time i watch you play im reinspired... i love you man. no homo.
@nerad1994 those notes he played as he moved lower down the neck were apart of the extended B minor scale. You can play that scale up and down the entire fretboard with different positions.
omg finally. ok so i know my scales for the most part but this one i forgot (haven't picked up a guitar in a while) and the part i loved most was the single finger from above....where u were pressing the frets. it was a lot easier to see which spot you were pressing. THANKS MARTY! YOUR A BEAST!!! ---Andrew
and SRV stole from albert king....blues is a very recycled genre....and dont get me wrong here either i love both stevie and albert's work and i love the blues!
finger picking skills once honed can be an added bonus to any marriage....mmm....maybe i will use the blues lick technique next time..ha haa.marty you are a great teacher! learned loads very quickly cheers mate.
98 more to go marty - First Class Lesson - New starters or more advanced can all learn from your stuff - the technique as well as the notes. Excellent!
