carson and paul both were uncomfortable with each other! i wondered if P even talked to C off stage? The beatles never appriciated jonnnys insualting jokes about them when they were new to the usa.. Paul needed to promo his movie. I never have heard any beatle sing a beatle song on carson's show. Carson begged him to one time and P sang "you are my sunshine once but never a beatle song.P always honered the beatle's riff against carson-this is my obversation. good for the beatles////
I'm a cell within a sperm within a potential egg of a possible grand-son of myself and..yes..I'm a massive fan of The Beatles. They are the best band of both the 20th and 21st centuries.
Think I've solved the mystery. The song is called Wanderlust. In the movie (Give my Regards to Broadway) he plays Yesterday - then Here There & Everywhere - before finishing with Wanderlust. So this ending is a kind of reprise of Here, There & Everywhere. Should have known better than to doubt Paul's genius!
I'm sorry, but I remember watching this when it happened and thinking Paul was being a douchebag. He seems pissed off for some reason and not all that cooperative. He's like the Mozart of the modern age but that doesn't stop a person from acting like a prick, I guess...
i wasnt alive when al that great music came out, but i'm alive too download, stream and buy all the music that ever has bin made by man kind. i geuss we are the lucky ones
It was not Paul's fault. He wrote a drift script and he took it too some movie produces. Hopping there help him make it a good movie script. But when he showed his drift to the produces there said "It was great, that it didn't need changing in anyway". And Paul not knowing to much about the movie script witting business except what there said and made the movie.
The movie is the best Music movie made after A Hard Days Night and Magical Mystery Tour.
I think Paul picked up on Johnny being patronizing towards him. Carson had a very few rock stars on his show, and when he did, he was very patronizing towards them. Carson was known for hating rock and roll (he was a big band/swing/jazz fan). So Paul was on guard.
@TheRealFellner good for you. the beatles music will never die. they say in a couple hundred years (if we survive that long) their music will evolve into nursery rhymes, and kids songs. they are timeless. glad you found them.
Paul was being nice to Johnny. he" told" (help up a finger in the shhh gesture) to the crowd to be quiet when Johnny was asking something, comes up with funny answers, and comapred to Lennon(who wanst afraid to speak his mind) Paul was always the very polite proper Beatle.
What's an ordinary day? Well, Johnny, I like to wake and bake. Eat some breakfast get baked again. Handle routine tasks, write some music, smoke a few more fatties throughout the day.
@SouthCoastMass ii used to be like that till i discovered how mind numbingly lazy and selfish i was to myself and everyone else, something like that anyway, btw what an akward interview :-s
Don't remember too many interviews that Johnny gave that were more awkward. I don't think Paul was making it easy for him.Carson was the best ever and GEE Paul was a bit ....whimsical
it must've been very weird for HIM to find out that there are lots of people who think he already died...it's like they announce your death in the newspaper and you read it...funny imagination
Notice Paul was wearing leather shoes. He said in an interview in the 90's that he realized that he was being a hypocrite, calling himself a vegetarian and still wearing leather products. So now, you'll never see him wear anything except fabric shoes or clothes.
