I just visited and I saw construction going on but I don't believe 70% work is done.The airport is still a mess and it nowhere looks as its shown. Want my Kolkata to look beautiful but its in such bad shape :(

Old colonial buildings in Babughat remain neglected, but they have huge tourism potential.....now riverside projects, in my opinion, should be encouraged

Anywhere you build an airport, land has to be acquired and the law states that land can be taken from anybody by the state after providing money to the land-owners at the current market value. People are greedy and want more money because land price will rise AFTER the airport is built, but that is not the point. The point is using violence and taking the law into one's own hands, which Mamata so likes to do.
