  • Go easy on the guy. 70 was the last year for the Shelby Mustang. The 69 and 70 are easy to recognize because of the unique hood scoops. They weren't the best of the breed by far. I think the 67 and 68's were the best.

  • The 70 Shelby GT500 also utilized the chin spoiler taken from the Boss 302 on top of having the twin black strikes on the hood.... The car in this video is a 69. Technically speaking the 1970 Shelby are ALSO 1969 Shelbys.. they were simply re-tagged as 1970s so they could sell them.

  • 1969?

  • That was awesome! :)

  • I'd smoke that in my stock Acura TL.

  • @shatchett0 that made me laugh, you should be a comedian!

  • @shatchett0 doubtful

  • @shatchett0 LOL you are joking, right? If not, you are one dumb son of a bitch!

  • @shatchett0 Sorry to say ur tl wouldnt stand a chance.

  • @shatchett0 You are fucking dumb.

  • yeah it is sweet looking especially with the standard 5 count rear leaf springs and a drag-pak. my favorite stang and only stang i like is 69 mach1 nd 70 mach1. i dont like the other mustangs. too ugly.

  • This is one my favorite mustang! My second would be a 1970 Boss

  • @Iesous238 yeah i cant argue about that

  • lovin it-the shelby 69 mustang was abit before it's time........

the boss429 looks so much better but if u wanted the the latest in 69 u went for the shelby

  • Holy Shit! That is most truly badassed mustang.

  • right on!

  • Dude thats a '70

  • @skyner3299

Dude, that's a '69. The only distinguishable difference between a '69 and '70 Shelby mustang is that the '70s had the double black stripe on the hood, no matter what color paint scheme it had.

  • @Sarcasticscum dude, thats no 69

  • @italianstallion228

Um, yeah it is. The '69s look almost like the '70s. The one difference that helps you tell them apart is that EVERY 1970 Shelby Mustang (regardless of what color it was) had two thick black stripes on the hood.

  • @Sarcasticscum 70 1970 gt500s were just 69s with a painted hood thats all. they didnt sell well cause of the 351 390 and 428 mach1s were more popular and affordable.

  • @1962Galaxie514ciMPFI

I know... Shelby re-badged the '69 bodies, and used them for the '70 model-year.. Coolest looking Shelby Mustangs of all-time.. By far, the prettiest mustang built.

  • I USED TO CLEAN THOSE 428'S CLOCK WITH MY 69 GTO JUDGE BUT, THEY ARE COOL LOOKING ALL, 60'70'S CARS WERE KICKASS.

  • Why spend 200K on a car and not use it? Oh I would use it, everyday. I don't want it sitting around like nothing, I want people to notice it and admire it, it needs to be seen, 69 Shelby GT 500.

  • I love that grille! I reminds me of a perfect blend of torino and mustang

  • kinda reminds me of a plymouth roadrunner

  • Id say the coolest looking hood ever.

  • i think the front looks like a 1970 challenger.

  • @woodulikemustard Yeah your right .

  • of all the weird lookin' mustangs this is the one i like the best

  • @fvboss429 wierd lookin, you mean fucking gnarly looking. :)

  • Look's too much like the early 70's M:s

The 69 Mustang look is the best.

    And I know it's a Gt 500. :-)

  • the 69 mach 1, Boss 302 and 429 realy have a better looking front

  • my 69 500 titled `Shelby', always has been. Bought in 69 after draft RVN. Check your title Rocky.

  • This is a 1969-1970 GT500 a no it is not the Mach 1.Yes the two models are very similar but you can spot a 69 GT500 because it has a stock white stripe a long the side of the car with the "GT500" written at the beginning right next to the headlights and the mach one never had chrome around or any where near his front bumper not the First generation not the 72 mach one or 73 mach one.The only thing that is similar to the mach one is the hood...

  • i like the 69's more than any of the other gt500's. nice car you got there man.

  • You are retarded that is a 1969 Shelby GT 500.

  • your a fucking idiot, that is a 69 shelby gt500. look on the side at the very front it clealy says gt500 there. and look at the tail lights, there shelby lights you fuck tard. you should drive some railroad spikes through your knee caps then bend your legs all the way back.

  • The 70s fastbacks were based off of this car and the milano mustang concept. You "retarded fuck stick"

  • @ryryt12 thats a 69 ,67 was the best 67`s were tagged as build by Carrol Shelby and nowhere on the title was fords name, in 69 ford was on the title. which drops the value drastically compared to a 67

  • uhhh, i do not like the 69 shelby looks, the performance was great though

  • this is my favorite shelby mustang

  • Looks more like a mustang boss

  • I fuckin' love this car man.

  • or a mach 1

  • The 1969-1970 Mustang GT500 Front End reminds me of a 1970 Dodge Challenger's front end.

  • this was when the mustangs started getting ugly. i believe it was 64 up until 70 that they didnt have this ugly front end.

  • this is a 69

  • ya i was referring to the mustang line not the shelby mustang line so i guess the last year for the pretty shelby was 68

  • Who the hell treats a beautiful car such as this one that way... asshole

  • maybe some people like to actually drive the shit they own

  • cars are made for the purpose of driving. if you want a museum piece to treasure and hide away from the world, go buy a picasso painting or something. this is american muscle. its PURPOSE is to burnout.

  • Technically, cars are also made to be disposable.

Personally, I'd drive a car like this, but I'm also not part of that trendy anti-trailer backlash so prevalent in enthusiast circles today. I do think at least some of these cars should be preserved in undriven condition.

  • there are enough cars put away in museums. i can guarantee you that for every GT500 you'll ever see driven on the road there are probably 6 sitting in a museum or under a cover in a heated garage to never see the light of day.

  • try 600

  • no such thing as a 73 mach 1 boss 302, the boss 302 was done in 69 and 70 and the mach 1 was a totally different car. that guy made no sense, just an ass out of himself for lack of knowledge. If the car was a true shelby , youd have to be a fool to abuse it that way, and the louvers scream fake snake.

  • thats deff. a 69 shelby

  • why dont you look up 69 shelby and see what you get, cause I will bet ya it will look a lot like the 69 in this video dumb fuck.

  • Oh your right ,it is...although they similar however...

  • HUH?

  • the front ends confused me.

  • mach 1 boss 302 only existed in 69 and 70 you fuckin moron. 73 cars were HUUUGE.

  • Sorry... I didn't mean to insult anyone. At first glance (Never before seeing a 69 GT500) I assumed it was a 1973, and that the author got the years wrong. After a quick Google search I quickly learned I had mistaken. However that doesn't give you a right to call me a "fucking moron" All I can say to that is that your Immature and need to learn to respect others even though they committed a dumb mistake.

  • Go home.

  • its called a Boss 302, not a Mach 1 Boss

  • sorry, i was speaking of two different models, there should be an "and" in between mach 1 and boss 302

  • did you say that the mach 1 only existed in 69 and 70?

  • no that part was for another poster, i know all about 69 70 71 72 73 and the new edge mustang mach 1, etc.

  • that comment was very poorly worded in hind site lol.

    allow me to rephrase it

"thats a mach 1. (now to other user) o and the boss 302 only existed in 69 and 70 you fuckin moron, 73 cars were HUUUGE"

  • and the 73 was just a little bigger than the 71-72

  • 73's really arent that big, they just look like it. I have a 69 fastback and a 73 coupe. and when you pull them up even with each other the 73 is only a couple of inches longer. And about the same width.

  • It's a '69 Shelby and doesnt even look like the Mach 1 so saying fuck you in that same sentence is ehmm really stupid, mark.

I allways liked this model and I agree with jammer96.

There's no arguing over taste but comparing this to the Mach 1.....hmmm....

  • this is not a mach 1 its a shelby gt 500 69 there is one here in my town just the same but blue and its a shelby stupid

  • FUCK YOU ! thats a 70´s MUSTANG MACH ONE !!!! nooooo kiddie shelby !!!!

  • U Fuckers. Its not a gt500.... try a mach 1 from the 70's. I'll give u guys the props, cool car, but get ur shit right ass holes.

  • your pretty stupid arnt you, you can evan see the shellby snake emblem...

  • 69 is best year for mustang. mach 1 is nicest looking of all.

  • thats what im screamin!

  • Great looking car. Very overlooked Shelby. They deserve as much respect as the other models.

  • i like the 67's and 68's better.

  • exactly

  • hmm...

i cant rly tell, does the shelby look the same as the mustang mach 1 or no??

  • Nice Shelby! I love those cars! One of the Best Looking Cars ever made! Try taking a video doing a real burn-out, Don't use the brakes! It will be more realistic and show the true power! And by the way, you are not going to hurt it by doing burn-outs! Carroll Shelby designed these cars for much harder use than doing burn-outs! Have Fun!!

  • Brakes -- my thoughts exactly. If ya ain't got enough power to smoke 'em on a roll-on then don't video. Hell my mom's Honda 4 cyl can do a burnout on the brakes. :)

  • Real Nice car man, the best mustang ever made.

  • who cares about abused parts ? when they break u replace em. i would only worry about rare parts that cant b bought or repaired.

  • My dad had the same car, except it had widened fenders, 10" Mickey Thompsons, a 6 pack fed 428 CJ, 4 speed with a locker.

  • Not trying to be critical, this is a BEAUTIFUL car, but why do you guys do that?

  • Are you kidding me? Have you ever tried this? It is so much fun! Go try it and come back and you will have a different comment. :o)

  • amen

those cars were ment to be driven hard! all mustangs were built for that!

  • if you pay so mutch for it , you goth tho use it !!

  • why would u do that to a $100,000 car??

  • if you spend that much on a car you better do something with it instead of letting it sit in a garage for the rest of its life. like these bitch ass collectors do.

  • ITs only the tires that are taking a beating

  • And axles, clutch (or torque converter), cooling system, gearbox, tailshaft, wheel bearings...

    You get the picture.

  • those parts arent getting a beatin

back in the day they used real metal

    they can handle it

hondas are the ones that cant handle it

  • That is complete and utter rubbish. They didn't use "real metal" in the clutch, or the radiator, or the axle seals, etc.

No matter how beautiful the car is, it is not immune to the laws of physics.

  • well you gotta warm up the tires some how. burnout isint gonna effect the car that much

  • ...no comment on such idocey

  • @87mustangguy Today My friend jumped his 97 Honda Accord over a steep set of railroad tracks and ripped the front bumper right off.

  • take your foot off the brake next time thank you

  • You can't do that in a riceburner. well, it would look rather silly next to that Shelby.

  • thats awesome, my cousin just sold a 69 gt 500 gulfstream aqua w/ white interior matching numbers

  • raw american muscle!!

  • that was great
