In my 30s.... learning the fiddle for 10 years and picked up a mandolin 2 years ago on and off. My left hand and fingers are experiencing ghost pains and throbbing as I watch your mando playing son handle those steel strings...

@MusicWazza When I was young, my parents (father, specifically) forced me to play sports, and I despised every moment of it. I picked up on cello of my own doing and now it is a part-time profession for me. Children will do what they want and what they are good at (the two usually coincide). These children just so happened to enjoy what their parents wanted them to do. (I am part agreeing with you, part kind of not. I am on your side for the most part, though).

I'm willing to bet that isn't true. TV isn't in and of itself a creativity killer, and a parent that lets their kids watch one isn't in the wrong for doing so. Everything in moderation.
Live on a farm. Home-schooled. No TV. No toy guns. Organic food. Other kids will think they're weird. Then once these kids are 18 or so, all the sudden they are the coolest fucking people you've ever met, you slack-off YouTube chubs.
