  • @messakg123 Refined carbohydrates are just refined foods. When you refine them, only the carbohydrates are left, and very little of anything else left. White bread, white rice, white sugar, HFCS, etc are refined carbohydrates. I don't know why he said potatoes... those are not refined carbohydrates. Totally natural, and good for you.

  • Awesome! This is what most bodybuilders should be eating more often. Healthy, clean, nutritious and natural foods. Not high amounts of meat, starches, diary, and protein shakes and very little or no vegetables, and last but not least STEROIDS and other drugs.

  • yup , this diet works , I done the same changes in my diet over a year ago and i haven't looked back since . 118kg down to 83 in 12 months and the muscles are bigger and stronger then ever :)

  • He is saying refined carbs but what about healthy whole grains.. carbs are quick energy sources and necessary for energy and to provibe fiber to regulate you. I eat like this but I have brown rice with it..

  • went to a High protein low carb diet, started weight training and cardio ......lost 10 pounds first week and 6 second week. Energy level went way up, It is my understanding that if you keep your carb. intake under 22mg. your body goes into ketosis and you can burn up to a pound a day??? The high protein diet is working for me.......

    I think you're gonna LOVE this! Check out "The Reverse Diet" on YouTube, by Tricia Cunningham. I first saw her on DiscoveryHealth. This housewife INVENTED this diet, where she lost 168 lbs IN 9 MONTHS! She eats:

    1) 700cal (high protein) meals for breakfast..around 5-6am,

    *NOTE: those portions are for her family of 5!

    2) 500cal meals (ex: medium salad) for lunch..around 11am, and

    3) 300 cals (cereal w/skim milk or juice) for dinner..no later than 3pm.

  • @Benjomatic Ever so true. Classic case of "gut-heavy" people doing ab workouts, they train their ab's when they have a layer fat over the top. This does grow their ab muscles but their fatty layer is still in place so the muscles actually push out the fatty layer because the muscles are growing but the fat is the same. This makes them look fatter. I always tell the people I work with to loose a great deal of fat on a protein rich diet prior to any ab workouts. The results speak for themselves!
