  • Really good

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you...I'm glad you like it! I'm afraid I don't do the other song. We do another of hers though..."You don't know who I am".

  • This is so awesome! You have a really angelic voice!

  • Thank you very much! I really appreciate the compliment!

  • THank you for doing justice to one of my favorite songs of Patty's. You sing "Out of control raging fire?"

  • Very nice video! You have a very beautiful voice :) This song makes me think of my family. My mom and dad moved from Harlan almost 30 years ago and this song always gives me chills and brings back lots of memories for my Mom!!

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • excellant. As already said. Great acoustical and vocals. Left ky 30 yrs ago,,this makes me homesick.

  • Thanks!!!

  • you guys are very good. The vocals and acoustical are fantastic. I left ky for the buckeye state 30 yrs ago,,this makes me totally homesick.

  • Thanks!!!

  • bravo, nice acoustic work, vocals great too. I'm from cumberland,so I like any song about Harlan Co. you all do it justice

  • Thank you very much! We really appreciate that!

  • great job. i play guitar in a bluegrass band. we play the same song but you guys did a lot better than we could ever do.

  • Thank you!!!

  • Keep going, love to hear ya!

  • Thank you! It is so nice to get encouraging comments!

  • you all are very talented. my moms family is from viper, ky and the sun used to go down at 5 there, but they are cutting into the mountain to make a highway. looks awful now.

  • Thank you for the compliment. The last time I went through Pikeville they were doing the same thing. It certainly doesn't help the landscape any!

  • You sound great. There is a lot of talent on that stage right there. Great job with this song, it has always been among my favorites and yall rocked it.

  • Thank you for the tremendous compliment to all of us. Sometimes people tend to focus on the lead singer and maybe unintentionally leave out the musicians in their compliments. I couldn't do it without them though. It is a group effort, if one sounded bad, it would all be bad!

  • i am listening to this song again....no need to thank me girl. but thank you for answerin so quick you are a swwet girl, just as your voice is...i sing as well and that is one of my favorites to sing, do you do any judds? i bet you can really sing grandpa..

  • I used to sing "Granpa" before on my own but, we don't perform it as a group. I don't think we do any Judds songs.

  • what a great voice! and the musi is fantastic i am from eastern ky. letcher co. a little town called blackey it is where they filmed part of coal miners daughter. you really made me homesick when i heard this song..thanks for posting you guys are great!

  • Thanks for the great compliments!!

  • ya it does in some places it dont go down at 3 more like 5 but ya lol

  • I Love this song i live n harlan county....

  • Does the sun really come up at 10 in the morning and go down at 3? :-)

  • actually i live in harlan count aswell, it doesn't really go down at 6, just gets a bit weaker, depending on season, it goes down about 6-9

  • yall picked an amazing song to play.

  • We thought so too!

  • let me know if y'all ever play the Gulf Coast, we are hurting for anyone willing to play tunes like that!

  • Will do! If you have any leads on places to play, send them our way!

  • I just thought of this, a buddy of mine runs this site to hook up bands with clubs. It might help you in your area, or anywhere y'all might be interested in playing. I think there is a fee though. It is a pretty cool idea. Keep up the great work!!

  • Great job on this song...you have a wonderful voice.

  • Thanks!

  • I bet they danced them a jig listening to you guys keep the faith

  • Actually, they were quite rude and didn't seem to notice us at all! I guess that goes along with paying your dues...you play at restaurants for tips for people who cam looking for food, not music!

  • Great job, the guitar work was nice. As a bass player who started playing with my family when I was 14, I appreciate not always having the perfect venue - but you sounded great.

  • Thanks!!! We really appreciate it!!!

  • great job,,,,from a newbrunswicker ,,i know coal mining and my heart goes out to all the Kentucky coal miners,,,God bless you all

  • Thanks!

  • thank You

  • My favorite state without a doubt,,love your music, your people, and your scenery,,worked with a lot of ironworkers from Kentucky,,excellent,,keep up the great work

  • She does a better job than Brad Paisley. His version is on youtube.

I don't have much use for the CMT pretty boys, the best country music isn't being made by them today but big corporations own all the country music stations, tv country cable stations, award shows.

  • I agree. The country music industry wants the singers to fit into their mold and it is MOSTLY about how they look.

  • true...thank God my family was one of the lucky ones to get of there alive. That, and we were lucky to be one of the few families to not be coal miners.

  • I'm from Eastern Kentucky, and this song brings tears to my eyes all the time....God bless our coal miners!

  • I know from living in Eastern Kentucky how difficult it is to be a coal miner. Unfortunately, it is often one of the few ways to earn a good living in the area.

  • *confused* I thought this was Brad Paisley's song. he sings it on his album, Part II.

  • I wasn't aware that Brad Paisley had recorded it. The song was written by Darrell Scott and apparently, Brad and Patty recorded it the same year. I'll have to check out Brad's version!

  • interesting. no wonder I was confused then.

  • Hey!!! Awesome Scott tune. One of my favorites!!

Where are you located and would you be interested in doing some gig's in the Cincinnati area on a weekend?

  • We are always interested in discussing bookings. I have sent a message to you with some more details.

  • Dang, that's good.

  • Thanks! We really appreciate that!

  • Thanks! We like the song too. It was written by Darrell Scott and performed by Patty Loveless.

  • Do you perform any Southern Gospel? Have you recorded anything? I would like to hear more!

  • We do a lot of christian music but none of it would really qualify as southern gospel. We had previously recorded some material when two of our members were with another group but nothing since we reformatted. We are hoping to record in the future but that takes funds and around here, people expect you to play for free!

  • You don't have to go to Nashville to be successful! Nashville is overrated anyway. I've known groups starting out small in churches for free-will offering and have become really successful! (Have you heard of the bluegrass gospel group The Easter Brothers?) They still perform at our church in Virginia every Easter Sunday Morning. We love them a lot.

Maybe you could advertise for private celebrations also.

  • Thanks for the encouragement! This format of our group is relatively new but we had planned to do just that, play in churches for an offering. We have plans to record a demo because people want something to listen to before they book you. That is one reason why we posted our videos. We're working on it! Spread the word for us, will ya? :-)

  • Could you post a Christian song? I'll forward it and forward it until word gets around! I'll do what I can because I see potential here.

  • We have several Christian songs posted, Trusting in You, All the Reasons Why, I'll Go, and Come to Jesus. Visit our channel by clicking acousticfaith under this video. Thanks a bunch! We'll take all the help we can get!

  • Beautiful song, great performance! Thanks. I've never heard this one!

  • I agree with Paula and Randy, a favorite song of mine too and you need a good voice to attempt this song. You did a good job. On to the next round.

  • Cute! Thank you very much Simon!

  • This song holds a special place in my heart cause my family is from Harlan. You do a wonderful job on it. Keep up the good work!

  • I lived in Eastern Kentucky for awhile so, I can relate to it as well. Thanks for the compliment!

  • 1 Word. "Wow".

  • Thanks!!! We really appreciate that!!!

  • great job!

  • Thank you!!! We really appreciate the nice comment!

  • this is an amazing version of the song. congrats on having a beautiful voice

  • Wow! That's an amazing compliment...thank you so much!

  • Patty Loveless is my #2 favorite singer ever!!! This is my favorite song of hers... You did a very nice cover of her excellent song... Just two minor suggestions: I would have liked to hear you start it acapella, and work on the humming in the end a little.... other than that, you would be deserving to win Nashville Star based on your vocal talent. The band sounds great too.

  • Thanks! I will take your suggestions under advisement. I'm always appreciative of constructive criticism.

  • I love when good players play stuff I know You three sound as good as any of the bands I hear @ the old time music fest i attend God bless cv

  • Thanks cv. It's nice to hear encouraging words like that.

  • nice version you should try nashville star cv

  • Thanks! But I don't think we would fit into the Nashville Star mold. They seem to be more interested in the image than the talent.
