He stole the signed cards from the deck before he gave it to teller, loaded them carefully, then when he went to reveal each he carefully put it in there.
@Linklegacy77 Thats the obvious part, the not obvious part is that when he was apparently putting the cards into the deck, the whole 12 card spacing thing was the diversion.
Magicians know how to talk cryptic between themselves!!?? Guys, guess whose taking the world soon...?? Actually, not really, cause they need an organization or some..................................we're so screwed.
I believe I know the name of the move penn talks about in the end, but if anyone knows for sure, can you pm me with it? I don't want to write it here, for pretty much the same reason penn didn't say it, I believe.
The double lift was terrible! This trick was terrible. The moves are so simple, so it really needs to be dressed up. His patter was really unconvincing though. It just wasn't a "wow" trick.
when he puts back the marked cards, he places them all on the BOTTON of the deck, than at 03:03 he placed the last 3 card + one extra card (with a blue top) on the blue deck (very very good performance). well than all the marked cards are on the top (plus extra blue card on the very top). than some false-cuts and shuffles and presenting each card at a time by lifting up 2 cards at a time (extra blue card plus marked red card).... very good performance and nice finish :-)
i was wondering why he was doing a double pick up every time he showed a card. it was to hide the fact that the card was red..... dunno how he did the switch though.
@laxgoalie555 they are many, but as a card trick enthusiast, a lot of card tricks are about moving many cards, while looking like moving one. I used to think ppl did this to move 2 or 3 cards but can move a half deck of cards with this technique. Like Penn said. It's a joy to watch because it takes so long to master, even though they didn't fool P&T, they were clearly impressed.
great trick.. but the thing is.. these kind of tricks.. use the same tricks to force, to secretly grab etc. and like penn said.. u cant fool other magicians with these tricks.. cause they know where to look... but u can fool the whole audience with it. Great trick.. i knew what he was about to do.. but couldnt see the errors... so clean...
the very first time i saw this video i noticed how he put the cards on the table and it didnt fool me :P I was just curious how he got the cards into the blue deck from the red deck.
i think there is a little sleight of hand involved but I also think the cards are rigged as a stripper deck because it looks like somthin you could do with a stripper deck plus some double lifting, either way, it was very good
It's too bad he didn't win with this one because it's a freakin' amazing trick. I didn't know this trick and the first time I saw it, my jaw actually dropped.
Such a wonderful trick. The first few times I watched it I was in shock and had no idea how it was done. However, after watching it for what is probably the 6th time it becomes clear how he does it. In a nutshell the cards are picked at random and not forced. There is some slight of hand used and a double card lift. His manipulation of the cards is incredible and it really brings this trick together.
Why is the director cutting all the time? Showing the trick from angles where you cannot see it properly? It's so annoying. The awesomeness of his sleight of hand is lost because you don't see his hands while the magic is happening!!!
It goes back to when he was first doing magic as a teen/adult, he found by being quiet people focused more on the tricks rather than throw stuff at him :P. It then sort of developed into his onstage persona, i think sometimes he speaks under the guise of Penn doing ventrilioquism.
all im going to say is slight of hand double lifts the deck of cards are set up in an order and the cards are forced good trick i know how he dint the first part i think
@zachcloseupmagic i no he can do better than me but i didnt say i can do better than him you can be wrong live im not a little geek who stays o the computer messaging peoples comments
Damn that was brilliant! I know how it was done but there are very very VERY few people in this world who can pull it off so smoothly without the slightest error. DAMN
at the start were he turns the ace of hearts into the ace of clubs he has the ace of clubs face up on top of the deck the he just turns it round watch it again and you'll see
I saw the slight of hand when he put the cards into the deck, he put them on the bottom of the deck, and then the double lift when he showed the 8 of diamonds but everything else was good
what I don't like is at 3:06 and 3:08 the camera view cuts Vincent out of the picture so you cannot see his slight of hand! They don't want you to replay it and see the trick!
@kalloused This was easy, he controlled the 3 cards while spreading them & he palmed them off. He adds them to the blue deck. Then he gets the three to second, third, and fourth from the top in the shuffle & cuts & double lifts showing the face of the selection but a blue back in the lift. He puts the selection on the table without showing it's red signed back, & turns back the turned blue card and repeats with the other two. Michael is rubbish by the way. His patter is arrogant and dreadful.
@CaraBrimleyRules Yeah I know how it was done but it was done perfectly. There are a small handful of people on this planet.... even in history, who can judge weather this man is a worthy magician and I can assure you, you are not one of them. Michael Vincent is one of the most brilliant close up magicians to ever live and is well renowned and respected by some of the top magicians in the world for over 30 years.
@kalloused His technique is often pretty good but I don't like the way he presents his magic. To see what I mean, take a look at his C & B routine, it is on You tube. Some patter is silly (eg Staff of Jacob), some is just arrogant (eg "Watch me work") before he goes into a phase with three false transfers. This is one reason that Michael is not a household name. He is respected by magicians for his technique, but his presentation is not up to scratch. And presentation is more important.
@CaraBrimleyRules That doesn't account for everything . If he controlled the signed red cards to the 2nd, 3rd, and forth from the top, when he double lifts you would see the second signed red backed card, but you don't, you see a blue back. We he turns over Penn's card you can see a flash of blue @ 3:43 Good try though.
