Another Rupert Holmes classic. Beautifully performed/arranged by McCorkle, a beautiful lady. Shades of Nancy La Mott. The theme is humanistic; squarely about 'one-pole' of the human condition, to the point that this lyric could represent the 'Greatest Song Ever Written' - if one were asked to nominate one. This lyric/poem compares to the James Blunt song (You're Beautiful) that everybody laughed at. I think Rupert made the better expression of the misery of unrequited love.
great stuff! needs to be be re uploaded for better quality!

Beautiful interpretation by a great (sometimes overlooked)
jazz lady. How sad she left us so soon. She had so much
to offer. heralbums are perfection.

My favorite Susannah McCorkle song. A broken angel, I'm so sorry she's gone.
