That wood panelling in the dash was real walnut, if you run your nail in a downward or upward motion, you can actually feel the natural grooves in the wood, wow, beautiful.
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!

@Carpie87 There are several places and vendors to turn to for parts. Ames Performance offers new and reproduction parts for full size Pontiacs. For used parts try Pontiac Heaven, Indiana Pontiacs, or Frank''s Pontiacs, All are on the web, Also consider joining Pontiac Oakland Club International and/or Pontiac Registry.
Great looking 4dr hardtop! Have you done a lot to the drivetrain? Did you have much rust?I have a 2dr hardtop that has been sitting in my garage for @ 15 years and hasn't been started for @ 13. One of those projects that would happen "someday!" My Dad had a '67 4 dr Hardtop when I was a kid and I always wanted to find one but then I found my 2 owner '65 2dr and have 98K original miles now.
i noticed your wood dash insert is chipped in the corner, same as mine.the new inserts the ones i've seen are lighter colored wood.have fun with it still messing with mine.
They sell two types- finished and unfinished. I've had both. The finished one looked good.
The unfinished one requires you to stain it. Mine and it looked GREAT (used spraycan minwax wood finish.. I forget the shade... walnut?)
***VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: you'll have to trim the wood edges to get a correct fit. use patience and an xActo knife to iteratively trime a little more and more until its perfect. The radio/heater cutouts might need touchup too!
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: Do NOT sell yourself short at the start by saying "389 cc engine" They measured these cars in cubic inches not cubic centimeters!!! So you have a 389 cubic inch engine. if you MUST post it in cubic centimeters then you can do the math and tell it like it is: 6,375 cc!!!!!!!
keep it on the road! and always get the car the exposure it desrves. These things are beauts!!!

aren't the 4 doors without a post a 4 door hardtop and not 4 door sedan?

That is a great looking car. I love the 4 doors and the hardtops too! give it a great wax job and I bet it would be a great 20/20 car.
