70s and 80s intros are generally the best. They did have style, unlike some stuff from the 60s that looked as interesting as an excel table, but they weren't as annoyingly overdosed like the 90s and especially the 2000s.
This one and the 90's opening were my favorites. This one they have now is so loud and obnoxious, imo. I've hated the present opening since they started showing it. It's only saving grace is showing all the GH men at the end with Luke getting up and walking away. That was clever, but now half the men they show are dead or gone so that doesn't really work anymore. I'd love it if they'd bring back the 80's intro. Sweet and simple.

they can't possibly bring that beginning back. people would be confused and start to think the show had something to do with a hospital.

I remember this opening from when my mom watched GH when I was a kid. Like this opening better than the others.

at least they brought it back once for nightshift this year :-( GH needs to hire their writers.
