In all honesty, I don't think it matters if it's Asian or any race that aren't Americans do a bad job in manicuring..I also don't believe in the brand, it's all how u apply and great you are at applying. Sorry but this is average gel technique. If you think american nail technicians suck, take a look at the product line she's using and stop going to 20 dollar nail salons. Most of the nail salonists that own the cheap salons aren't even american.

Japan is one of the leading countries that participate in Nail expos/competitions & their creative ideas of nails & sanitation are far superior than the salons in America. $20 acrylics? Those are a joke. The price you pay for something so plain isn't worth my money. Japanese nail salons starting prices are $45+ & easily can reach into the $100's. There's probably multiple reasons why she's using

@Amukahok this brand. 1) It's available to a lot of people & you can easily purchase it from ebay or amazon 2) If she used her own she would be flooded with comments asking where she got her products which leads to my reason #1 3) Majority of the people who would be watching this, aren't professionals 4) It's a great brand to start to learning how to do gel & acrylics with, its somewhat reasonable price & there's no need to shell out high end brands when you're starting out.

@Mayaslookbook just ask your nail salon where im from, full set of gel nails are AU$30 for most places but it also depends on what you want on them eg the design you want is very detailed they might charge more

I remember watching some documentary show-thing about why there was so many Vietnamese doing nails.During the Vietnam War people went over there to teach women nails to give them a career/chance at a better life. o.o; I wish I could remember what show that was..

its used to dry the gel.

Its necessary for UV gels.

But there are gels called no light gels that don't use the UV light.

For the no light gels you use this gel activator that you spray or you soak your nails in water with the gel activator in it.

Actually, it does potect your own nails, if it´s done on professional basis... You get them off by either growing thm out or filing them down carfully. And of course you can ask your nailtech about any length and shape!
