I went to a cat adoptions house a few years ago.There were 86 cats there; all over the place. I tried to pick one up. He bucked and squirmed and kicked and growled. A guy who was watching the newbie get humiliated said, "I haven't found one YET that likes to be picked up!" How profound! I've found that to be fairly true over the last 20 years. They PARTICULARLY don't seem to enjoy being held upside down like you'd hold a baby. Heck, I don't much care. I buy the food so I make the rules. :-)
