Gosh I love New Orleans, their Aquarium is AMAZING, their Zoo is Awesome, and I love looking out to the mississippi River on the board walk, I went a few times before Katrina and although it has changed they didn't let that get them down. They sell merchandise about it in a few stores on the french quarter. No matter what people say New Orleans is awesome
@4freespeech A theme park for rich white folks. WTF? Yeah I bet you never saw any of the "real" New Orleans just the 14 blocks in the French quarter and what you saw coming to and from Louis Armstrong Airport. Go spend some time in Bucktown, Desire, or Algiers and tell me it was wonderful. Absoloute poverty .
I have just fallen in love with this music. I have done a little searching to find artist to buy and add to my musci colection. I would love to know the name and cd this came from and any other artists you can suggest.
thanks from New York...us Yankees love it too, God Bless You New Orleans
I've never been to New Orleans... how sad to have missed it before Katrina. But do tell a YouTube viewer from far away (New Zealand) what the name of the music track in the backround is please?
Thanks for viewing--evidently you'r my kind of woman-I love the music, the people, everything about New Orleans--I live in North Mississippi--Ole Miss--but I go down every opportunity I get--ride the City of New Orleans--Party all the way down, while I'm there & back to Oxford
wow you know what sucks.. im from louisiana.. my whole family has been to new orleans before the storm.. guess who lucked out? me.. yes i will never get to see new orleans the way it used to be.. never get to see it in person that is...
New Orleans will never be defeated. Not by time and not by a horrible storm. So you come on down, chere. Nothing can ruin the spirit of New Orleans and don't you for one second believe that it's possible to do so.
Girl Me too !! My great grand parents are from louisiana and I never saw it before the storm...I go to college in HOuston so I realy feel dumb for not going.
I was just in New Orleans in Feb. and since these areas of the city weren't flooded after Katrina, it pretty much still looks like the images in this video.
Love the music. You should also check out floodstreetsmovie com for a great take on post-katrina life in New Orleans.

We were in New Orleans last for the Jazz Festival Spring 2004. It was the most friendly and magical place we'd been so
far. I'm not sure I want to go back now
that they have gentrified over half the
poor folks out of town. That's what made
New Orleans so wonderful. You could go
and have a terrific time on a tight budget.
I hear it's turned into a theme park for
rich white folks now. If that's the case New
Orleans has lost its soul!
