Les voy a a decir un par de cosas LINUX ES UNA MIERDA, son unos S.O pensados para pajeros del orto que se pasan todo el día frente al computador......El otro día me quise bajar un archivo rar con puppy linux..... y la mierda del puppy me volvio loco para hacerlo andar y aun asi no pude ..........me quedo con Win sera pribativo pero me inporta un carajo ,,, con un xp desatendido ando de diez y linux metanselo en el centro del ojete

Bueno... Las películas que tú descargas a través de torrents en Windows - si son de Pixar - son hechas en Linux (con Blender). La mierda de Windows es para los lámers como ustedes: personas que siempre están atentas de cuándo vendrá un crack o una mierdas de esas para un programa propietario. "Wow, qué innovador, nuevos parches para Windows Vista." Qué Fantoche. Con Linux se puede hacer más con menos, y por tal razón las empresas se están mudando a Linux.

me importa un carajo si windows y sus programas son o no privativos,,,, lo que realmente me importa que la cpu me reconozca (impresora , mause etc) y la gran variedad de programas (samplitud para grabar etc, etc , etc ) que tiene windows,,, cosa que Linux no tiene ,,,,,,,, si linux no te reconoce hardware agarrate,,,tenes que hacer un curso ,,,,,,LINUX ES UNA MIERDA

I'm installing Puppylinux on my new Eee. ^_^

I checked it out on my pc and fell in love with it. It sucks a few progras I use dose not run with puppy linux, so I could not keep it on my pc.

Do you have to know much about computers to use puppy linux. Can a beginner to computers use it? Can you run it from your hard drive or do you have to run it from cd or usb? if anyone knows the answers to this thanks i really appreciate it!

Just download it, burn the image and start the computer. You have a live cd functionality then. It is possible to install it on harddisk, wouldn't be my advise for linux newbies though.

What I would reccomend if you are new to computers, is to buy a large USB flash drive (around 2-4 GB)

If your computer has a special Memory card Reader, you could put it on there too.

If you want to just run it and test it out, get a blank CD-R, put it in your computer, download the ISO image, download InfraRecorder, and write the ISO image. Restart, and you have it!

Puppy Linux is very easy to use. It may seem difficult because there are no one to show you what to do (with video tutorials).

You don't need to know or use any code to use it.

I can stream and/or download online divx videos without Divx webplayer.

I can stream or download full length Veoh video without VeohTV

(lil' tricks I know that also work with windows, Mac amd any other Linux)

I can do everything with my Puppy Linux, just think outside the box.

Great distro! Very fast and customizable. Highly recommended.

Good out of the box experience, so suited for beginners. Installing new software is a bit more tricky than fa Ubuntu. So start with Puppy and after a few tries install Ubuntu and see what you like most.

puppy is an low memory requirment OS that can used to revive older, slower PC's. It has internet, e-mail, cd and media players, a word processor, spreadsheet program, power-point type program, ect. Basically everything you need to keep an old computer running.
