@laughorcrytv I wrestled in the Indy scene for a minute until an injury and real life forced me to put it on hold and I believe I can answer this. The person doing the foot stomp, doesn't matter if it's a standing foot stomp or from on the top rope, has to shift their body weight at the last minute and fall off of the person as they hit. It doesn't matter as the person lying on the mat still has to take a WHOLE lot of pain. However, this insures minimal risk of injury... but not always.
