@seattlebeard Yes, best ever. Actually one the best bands I've ever heard...to this day. and what great performers. Paul Barker was my boyfriend at the time and Roland Barker was one of my room-mates.
@sinistergrowth ? You're confused about what name dropping is. These people are my dear friends (still). And what we shared during that time was quite amazing. But thanks anyway. Why you would even bother to comment in such a way makes me think you might be jealous...?
@PentaSwan2 -jealous? An interesting though silly theory, Dr Phil. Randomly throwing a rock would hit a chick who has a boyfriend in a band - nothing special. My point was how good a band is is not measured in who you know in the band - so it is irrelevant. BTW - your profile says you are 38 which would make you around 8 then - are you sure it wasn't your father and not your boyfriend in the band? That would help explain your excuses. The Blackouts were very cool - the U-Men were really the best
@sinistergrowth You are confused about the meaning of name dropping. These people are dear friends of mine (still). The fact that you would even put out the energy to make such a comment leads me to believe that you are jealous?
I don't know if they were a no-wave band or not. Definetely some similarities. They do remind me of p.i.l alot. Too bad they didn't put out more. Just heard this within the month or so, and loveing it....
super cool! good to see it and hear it!

@PentaSwan - ooooh - desperate irrelevant namedropping is very unbecoming.

Yeah really good. They've got their own thing going - I'd say a little Pop Group / P.i.L.

Would categorizing The Blackouts as a No Wave band (either as a whole or partially) be accurate?
