This Summon wasn't much of a pain to me but it made me so nervous when I only had 2 seconds left on doom counter and I entered Gestalt mode xD

What a total cheat! I have tried everything to kill this dude and he keeps killing fang and vanille with quake! All that I want to do is beat this game by the time Final Fantasy XIII-2 is released. Ugh, this dude is harder than Barthandelus!

let me tell you sir raged at this guy a few months ago tried 1mil times. you did way better than rooster teeth and you had like 1.6k health while they had 4k health and you got it done in a faster amount of time all geoff did was just level his person up and kept spamming random crap while not healing

all you really need to do is go sab/sen and med/sen then you're all good... :)

Hardest boss in the game besides Orphan. Hours or days of level-grinding. 4000 HP per head or you're screwed.

This is why I hate FF13. Who would think that the best thing to do is cast deprotect and deshell over and over again? Instead of casting it once and attacking like normal afterwards.

Actually, if you cast deprotect or deshell and go back to attack, the Gestalt meter will fill more quickly. I tried it.

Lol I youtube almost everytime to figure out how to defeat this things and heavy boss's. Usualy i cp farm, because after a big fight the christalium expands, so its good to have extra. I dont think it would expand after this battle, cause of the options to unlock other Paridgms. Im out of the bonuse Fortisols. Ill see how this goes.

If you're looking for a strong paradigm combination try this out,

Slash and Burn - Use during Looming Wrath since there's no attacking

Arcane Defense- Use during Hecaton's attack phase when Fang has high health

Lifeguard - Use during Hecaton's attack phase when Fang has low health

Stumbling Block - Use during Hecaton's attack phase to raise gestalt bar

Havoc - Use at very beginning of fight during Looming Wrath

The trick to this boss is timing your shifts to match the attack phases

i started with 1 attach relentless assault, then went arcane defence for some more magic, then stumbleing block, then life guard x2 then to arcane, then relentless, then lifeguard then stumbling then i was gettign despirate and managed to get in 2 relentless nearly died and timer was at like blow 20 when i was able to gestalt. all the while iw as useing potions too

@nickkrete The strategy would be the same, since neither Vanille or Fang can cast Haste. It's also possible to switch between two identical paradigms quickly to fill your ATB gauge more quickly. Hope this helps.
