could I put an Enternal mic on this camera? I'm trying to save money on Camcorders when Cameras are just as good, but I'm NOT spending $1200 on a camcorder when a $600 is good/better!
How do you set the focus to be manual? I got this camera too and I have to press continously a button so it focus automatically, and it is really annoying...
@VgrChan Make sure the top dial is in Movie Mode. Press your "Start/OK" center button which will activate the setting choices along the right side of the screen. The setting for Manual Focus (MF) is found just above the HD/SD setting. Hilight it and change it to MF. There are other choices that include MF combined with other stuff but it sounds like you have yours set to C-AF or something.
@gumonthepants Hey, thanks... I actually figured that out by just playing around with it XD. BTW, do you know if there is any way to make the auto focus better and faster? it is really annoying... Ive heard that theres a firmware to make it faster?
@VgrChan I just bought mine too so I'm still trying to figure things out but I noticed there are a couple more auto-focus settings that seem to be a little less erratic. Just plugged mine in to check the firmware and the latest seem to be 1.1 for the body and 1.0 for the lens that came with it.
@elpheal i don't think so, indymogul is giving one away, and thats a indy filmmaking company, so i'm sure that it can hold any size sd card, it could probably hold like a 64 gb sd
@curtismichael14 haha sorry if my words was confusing. I mean I heard its a industrial constraint for any ONE video clip to be not more than 4gb in size. I didn't mean the size of the entire SD card=) hope I'm saying it correctly this time =)

@eastcoastSTUNTIN You don't push anything. You turn the ring on the lense.

wow...the focus looks really clear. How long can this camera record continuously? is there a time/space limit?
elpheal 1 year ago
@elpheal it can record 7 minutes, then it stopps, but you can start to record after that, idk why they do that though
curtismichael14 1 year ago
@curtismichael14 oh...does the 7mins of footage takes up 4gb of space?
I heard there's usually this contraint . Where 4gb is the maximum video footage space a card can contain .
