Plant and Page, Lennon and Mccartney, The Glimmer Boys, man I'm glad to have been lucky enough to be around this Universe. I may be an old fart but we had a time, didn't we?
@USgovernmentLies I think there's an interview with John Paul Jones where he says he was offended when Page and Plant didn't ask him to come perform with them
LOVE this song, in fact, I love this whole album. Saw this tour in 1998 (9?) at the Gorge in George Washington (State). One of the most beautiful outdoor venues in the world. Amazing.
This is beautiful song! I saw them live 1998 in Zagreb Croatia! One of best concerts in my life! Robert please reunite whit Page, Jones and Bonzo jr.. We need Led Zeppelin! This world need good music!
Man Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are such great song writers i know people have said this but just imagine if bonzo was still here i know that they would have still made great tunes all the way through the 21st century and would have blown away all their other contemporarys
1973 goldtop, stripped and painted red. B-bender added possibly in 1980. Apparently, Page not happy with the tone after bender installed, but he still uses it. This guitar appeared on the song remains the same movie.
@JRR951 the reason jpj didnt get a call was because plant said he didnt want fans and critics to feel it was a zeppelin reunioun. he wanted to save the reunion for a later date and have it be way more extravagant than just the unledded tour. but that never came to be except the 02 concert .
I would bet that was Robert's doing more than anything. You know he's not as keen to live in/re-visit the past as Jimmy is. The 3 surviving LZ members recording together probably would've been taking a step back in Plant's mind. That also would explain why he wanted no part in any of Page's proposed "Led Zeppelin" project with Jason after the final O2 gig in December '07. And, rightly so. "Led Zeppelin" died when Bonzo did. Just as "Pink Floyd" ceased to exist after Waters left.
Had to find this one because the one I had bookmarked was took off due to copyright or some shit. If they dont want people watching youtube. They should release a damn decent DVD. Unledded was good. But I like Jimmy playing elictric better most of the time. I dont really get into the Egyptian and Indian musicians much. They had their place. But this is better.......THANKS
Oh oh oh I love this song - the guitar is so beautiful and Robert sings with that lovely aching in his voice. Saw them a few times in the 90's - fantastic!
I saw them play this in Dallas. I've seen alot of shows from this tour on bootleg VHS and the Vegas show is probably the best. Zeprulesagain --- you are one lucky bastard.
Thank you for posting. that is just an amazing song. Robert sings it with such passion. Saw them play it live in Las Vegas in 1998, but I was in the back.
