Waltz of the snow flakes is one of my favorite dance from the nutcracker. But I personaly do not like the choreography at all. The dancers don't look strong or technically advanced enough for pointe.

@TheFruitcakeGirlz Yes, I believe it's pretty hard. But it depends on your feet and ankles. I have a low arch and not very strong feet, so I've had some problems, such as ingrown and bruised toenails. But it's such a wonderful dance form! Have you danced ballet very long?

And trust me, I don't know much about Pointe, because, I've only just started, but I know that I'm ready, and I know the basics. Mmm~ I think it was quite lovely. I've taken dance for a long time, and I absolutely love watching ballet performances and such. I really do think it was lovely, and I'm sorry for all the negative feedback you have. :<
My elementary school had a yearly performance of the Nutcracker, and it was a blast to be in. I still go watch it. Sure, the kids aren't that great, but they're having fun, and I think that's the point. :)
But anyway, I think it was beautiful. Never give up! :D

0:44 , spacing?? Please point your feet , close your fifth positions, pleay when you need to , keep in time with each other, and dont bend or turn out your standing leg. But way to go , you kept smiles on your faces , and your costumes were lovely!
these girls are clearly not ballerinas. Tchaikovsky is rolling in his grave right now. this is terrible. and no, i don't give a fuck how "hard you girls worked." this is terrible. anyone giving you positive comments does not know what they're watching. i've been performing russian classical ballet for my entire life, and i can say you girls should not even be en pointe. you should not be on stage. you should go back to a beginner class and learn what turn out is.

its atrocious i cant believe it when i started watching this i wasnt even 10 seconds into watching it and i already wanted it to stop it was just terrible! i cant believe this and not going all the way on pointe which is wat u did can seriously injure u and i think u should get off of pointe because you have bad feet period. and also u need more training in posture i cant believe this im appalled and i think that u need to work on ur arms really support! i am just in shock

@balletbabe522 You mean what "idiot" PUT me in pointe? Wow, great typing skills. My teacher gave us all permission to start pointe, and she is NOT an idiot. My studio is in a very rural area, and it's been mainly recreational for about 18 years. This year, we began to use a ballet syllabus, so the program is going to strengthen. Do not insult my teacher; she's very skilled and she knows what she is doing. Please get a life and stop surfing youtube so you can put others down.

i agree to ur comment bcuz there dancing sucks and theres is absolutely no turnout! u guys look like u should be held back from pointe for another 9 years u look like u dont know wat ur doing and there is no formation of positions. i was looking at those crappy 5ths and i was like wtf? and i would know cuz i am a dancer and my teachers tell me i am very tallented and also ur not even all the way up on pointe and u have crappy pointing and an ugly archline on pointe ur pointing is terrible!

This looks ike more of a pre-pointe dance. And if your just being introduced to pointe, you shouldn't be doing a recital performance.

In the beginning, I'm second from the left. I don't look extremely great because I was dancing on a bruised toenail. :(
