  • great beat....also, somebody shout !

  • I love this song.. I know it's old but who cares? it's a good song. :)

  • Great singer. What a shame there is no outlet for black singers now other than rap.

  • @Gazolba Sharon Jones, Ryan Shaw

  • @Gazolba Um? what? afropunk.com, boldaslove.us, Black Rock Coalition, Janelle Monae, Tamar Kali, Skunk Anansie, etc. "Black singers" have been performing more than just rap for decades and continue to collaborate across all genres. Your comment just blue my mind. Do you know how to Google?

  • Me gustaaa muchooo!!! =D

  • Just recently heard this song on the movie "Seven Girlfriends". I hadn't heard since I was a young boy in the late 60's. Added to my playlists.

It's such a great feel good & dancing song. Classics such as this are always a pick me up (emotionally). Great song!

  • AH JUS GIMME SOM KINDA SIGN } OH MY baby YEA THOSE WERE REAL SONGS !FO SHO

  • slvrproblm just give me some kind sign girl

  • love his performance

  • Does this guy still tour and everything. Is he still alive? I haven't much about this guy on magazines(Rolling Stone) or anything.

  • True classic in Cali....espicially in the Chicano community!!!!

  • @55Medusa thats right,,,,,cruising the blvd..in East Los......great song

  • @55Medusa: Just curious, but why did it take hold in the community, given that Brenton Wood is quite African American? (Not that it's a bad thing; far from it, it's a great tune, just curious).

  • @NickB1967 some music is felt stongly in the Chicano community.....personally i love Old School music!!!! i feel that music cross's many barriors of color..... :-)

  • @55Medusa Ok thanks

  • @55Medusa OK thanks

  • this song was popular in Vietnam in 1968-69 Music was the ONLY comfort we had to get through that shitty lie of a War...

    Bob in Louisiana

    Vietnam Vet

    1968-69

  • What a great comment. Almost in awe of such comments really.. I love this song and this performance...and yep,the 60's had way too many great artists and songs.. Ridiculous when you compare it with say the latest decade ...Anyway your comment is the most potent and loaded I've seen on YT.. nothing I can write here can express that.

  • @Greenhornet270 my ex-boyfriend did time over there and he always had to turn the dial on the radio when Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" came on..he said that chopper pilots would play that when they flew over the deltas..

  • @Greenhornet270 Thanks for your service! Sorry ya'll had such a hard time coming back. It wasn't fair.

  • @Greenhornet270 I love the Vietnam Vets. You guys got a bad rap and it was undeserved. Should never have been there in the first place, but it wasn't the soldiers fault. I lost some friends in that war. The music was good, but the war was terrible. I have very mixed feelings about that era. Were you injured?

  • @conuregirl007 I agree with you

  • @Greenhornet270 Hi Bob:) Love from NYC Thank you for serving

  • @Greenhornet270 Desde España, un saludo a un hombre de verdad. Que tengas muchos años de felicidad y enseña a la gente joven el significado del valor y la lealtad entre compañeros de armas.

  • although this is way before my time i still like and sorta grew uhp with it !

  • This is a pretty good song. .

The white guy who introduced it has a great haircut.

  • no doubt

  • Jimmy Saville

  • @pbrick6301 The white English guy is Jimmy Saville (not sure about the spelling), He was the Host of Top of the Pops a British show. Breton still does small concerts last I heard in California.

  • He's really getting down! Haha! I love this jam!

  • Why do the videos on songs always have to be retarded? X_X I mean.. it's like when you buy a CD in the shops they're always like 'includes extra special (band/singer name) video!! 8D cheaper! Wot a deal! And you're like oh god well I'll buy the more expensive one then >_> lmao

  • F..King GREAT..1967...

  • i just absolutely love this song!!

  • damm that song is awesome!, I hear Brenton can still be seen in Northern Cali....would have loved to have been there in 68....just a fews yrs older and i would have....

  • Love this song. I love his movements and he is one handsome man. I don't remember when it was made, I just happened to hit play and loved it. I play it every chance I get. Thank you Mr. Wood.

  • I have loved this song forever. Always wanted to cover it. Love ya, Brenton!

  • Brenton wood is the shit. I remember when he did a free oldies concert in frisco. like 10 years ago

  • Oh, I would have loved to have seen that!

  • omdf his dance is funny

  • You had to be there. Hahaha

  • For all the oldies lovers here is the same song sung in Spanish by Roberto Jordan - Hazme Una Señal (Gimme Little Sign). Check it out great cover that sold millions in Latin America and Europe

  • this song is the chet! i lubb it!!!

  • Everyone danced that way in he sixties. You must be very young and I'm sorry that you weren't properly taught that racism is wrong, the word "nigger" is very hurtful and hate filled. I hope that you change your heart and learn that diversity is what makes America such an amazing place in which I assume you have the privilege to have been born.

  • can anyone send me the link too the remix of this song called speedy???

  • I loveee this song:)

  • wouldnt it be funny if whoever made up the"lean wit it, rok wit it" got his inspiration from watching brenton get down lol..

  • haha that guy in the beginning has such a ridiculous haircut!! haha
