I have watched this video over and over in the past months and never get tired of it. I love to watch Grandmothers cook. I hope that Cole truly appreciates the time he is spending with his grandmother, for she is wonderful. In the past 5 years, I have lost both of my Grandmothers and it breaks my heart. I hope she will continue to make more videos if she is willing and able.
wow 94 what a blessing!!! I remember teaching my 2 boys to cook when they were young, they commented that cooking was for girls,I told them that I did not have girls, and that cooking, cleaning, ironing, washing dishes, etc. were all survival skills, and that every human being need to know how to take care of themselves. Now they thank me for it, my youngest is 34 and single,& the oldest married a girl that could not cook, learn as much as you can from her, and cherish those priceless moments..
i have an aunt that taught me how to cook many real mexican / spanish foods, and yeah they use real veggies for things like the real tomato instead of canned tomato sauce like most people use in the Tex/Mex style :) there is a big difference in the taste too :) i loved watching this, she reminds me so much of my aunt - tell Grandma howdy from Kay in Texas :)
I miss my mom's cooking so much that I wish I had payed attention when she cooked all those years. Some day they will be gone. Thank you for the video. I can almost smell it cooking...
What a gorgeous grandma you have..I have never thought of using veggies.. I'm definitely going to use this recipe!! Thank you Grandma..keep cooking your delicious food..can't wait to see more..
this video is so cool...treasure your grandma, for i miss mine dearly..i can just smell the onion and tomato as you stir it in the rice..you will forever remember cooking with NANA...
I find this touching. I cant wait to use tjis reciepe. Its old school and you can tell there is tradition there. Learn everything you can from her. You are so lucky.
Nice recipe. It looks really simple and delicious. I was looking for a rice recipe that was easy, since I don't have a really good rice pot. Wow my grandmother's cast iron pan finally came in to great use.
i have to say i love your grandma, she is so sweet but you can tell she is stern and can give really good directions... also its really good seeing young people actually wanting to learn things like this from their grandparents and parents...i am definitley going to give this recipe a try b/c it looks really good, thanks for the video
