  • Great video...thick, beautiful hair....

  • Nice but 7 years a long time for such length I got in 2 years !?

  • Your is amazing well done girl

  • Do you have a weave? Your hair did not show a natural part. I'm curious is all.

  • @tubebitch12 hahahahahahahaha no I don't. Its all mine :) There are pictures of my part/scalp in my fotki albums. The link is in the description box

  • i like how you dont trim it every 6 weeks like the salons recommend. I always think trimming slows down the hair growth but, it helps the damaged hair ends. I trim mine every few months or when theirs damage too. Nice vid :)

  • @anmllvr234 thank you!! and I have cut down my trims to once a year now. The hair only needs to be trimmed IF theres damage. Like from too much manipulation, dryness, frequent flat ironing, rough combing, etc. I don't do any of those things so I see no need!

  • @xxmuzicchickxx I agree. trimming is good but, your hair doesnt look damaged at all. thx 4 vid lol

  • YOUR HAIR IS PERFECT JUST THE WAY IT IS..NICE VIDEO

  • @1monilove thats very sweet...thank you!

  • it took you 7 years just to grow your hair down your back! thats too fucking long of a time you got a lot of patience... maybe your hir just grows really slow?

  • @avababbi10 I wasn't really waiting for my hair to grow all that time, I was just living my life. And I never took care of it, thats why it took so long. I think the same amount of growth with proper hair care could be achieved in 3 or 4 years. since hair on average grows 6 inches per year.

  • wow i luv your hair <3

  • Beautiful!

  • oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh my goshshhh!!!!!!!!! HOWWW??? how did it get that long and thick???? oh my gosh i looove it<3

  • @smittty90 thankyousomuch! <3 it wasnt that hard really. I was just gentle with it (no relaxer, frequent flat ironing OR pulling my hair out while detangling. that can be as damaging as a relaxer), and I do a lot of protective styles. Theres no secret trick other than that, just be gentle and patient!

  • @ski54ful thank you! yes I am trying to grow it to tailbone length. I am almost there, i have about 3 1/2 more inches to go, so I should be there by June 2012!

  • Ur hair is beautiful!

  • Also, what is your natural texture?

  • too thick for my taste, i would rather see it cut in layers or just not that even kinda look like old people style , but good job on the length think we have the same length

  • @danger069gurl i agree and ive decided to stop getting my hair cut so often and just let it grow thinner on the ends naturally. I keep cutting off all of my growth everytime i get it cut =[ I had the layered style but i didnt like it, plus i wear my hair in natural styles most of the time and you cant tell that its that even. And thank you!

  • @xxmuzicchickxx Do NOT listen to the first part. Thickness is good, just add some layers and it'll be perfection.

  • @Writerchic1 I like thickness but I dont like layers. I had them before and I dont like my hair being different lengths. My texture is a mixture. Of mostly 4a, on the sides and back, with some weird wavy texture on top, and 3a a little in the front. its really weird, and shrinks A LOT. and dense, thick strands.

  • @xxmuzicchickxx I LOVE IT

EVERY GIRL I KNOW THAT LAYERS THEIR HAIR ENDS UP BALD..WELL YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

    GUYS LIKE GIRLS

MEANING AS -NOT LIKE US- AS POSSIBLE

AND ITS RARE TO FIND A LADY OF COLOR WITH LONG NATURAL HAIR LIKE YOURS

    BEAUTIFUL

    STAY UP MA

  • @xxmuzicchickxx yeah it would be kinda hard to notice layers because of its natural state most time i see pic on your intro video and then your hair way less even but still long and healthy ,,, but non the less your an inspiration to a lot of women and men ... and you rock whats suits you, xoxo

  • @xxmuzicchickxx a v cut would look cute.... pretty

  • @xxmuzicchickxx I personally think she is hating. Thats just my opinion. Hair is beautiful! Layers do add definition though!

  • @danger069gurl What's your preference thin and flat with layers? "...kinda look like old people style"... As in men, women or both? Most old people like to wear their hair short.

    I'm just saying....

  • @yukahonda layers do not mean short nor thin .LOOK IT UP ,,, only people with long hair can do it, mostly done on healthy hair,,,go look it up

    i'm just saying ...

  • @danger069gurl Firstly, there are plenty of short hair cuts that consist of layers...look it up. Secondly, stylists can cut a person's hair into layers to rid of damaged ends; especially if it's higher up the hair shaft....look it up. Thirdly, it's somewhat pointless to wear layers if you're NOT wearing you're hair pressed most of the time. You don't have to look that up, I'm giving you that one :). Lastly, learn how to correctly use commas.

    It's 2012, be cool..stay in school!

  • @yukahonda as i said before i would love to see her hair layer (freedom of speech) ,,,, hon dont be a idiot using this as ",,," is just a typing style ... i'm already in my third year bachelor degree,,,, so dont be a angry drop out and get with time those r my tips 4 u :)

  • @yukahonda and its 2012 i drop you like last year ( be ignored lol) :D ,,,,,

  • I read your interview on bglh! I love your hair so much. When you say wear protective styles do you mean twists and braids? Or do you mean wear your ends tuckes?

  • @143djohnson Thank you so much, and thank you for reading the interview! I tried to keep it short because I tend to type way too much most of the time. lol Personally, I stick to braids for my protective style. It holds better and lasts longer, and I can even wash my hair with them in without my style completely getting ruined. I never tuck my ends in.

  • @xxmuzicchickxx Thanks for replying so quick! I was just wondering cause so many ppl say that protective styles are ones that the ends are tucked in/covered. I's starting to wear my hair in twist outs/braid outs for two weeks w/o much manipulation. I'm trying to figure out if that's "protective" enough. I'll figure it out i guess. Thanks!

  • @xxmuzicchickxx i cant believe your 26 you look at least 16

  • @destinaj234 lol im not 26. i just got this account a long time ago when i was 14 when minors couldnt create accounts so i had to say im older. Im 20 right now. but it wont me change my age.

  • is this real??? its so thick!!

  • @winiver77 lol yes its real. Thickness is both a blessing and a curse. Because it takes HOURS to comb through. But I wouldn't change it!

  • what kind of products do u use, how often do u use them and how often do u wash your hair? my hair is relaxed but is so weak and is breaks i need help :(

  • @BreezyMyBaby i use all natural products--shea moisture, trader joe's and Aubrey Organics brands. I use them whenever I get around to it which isnt that often, and I wash my hair once a month. But my hair is in braids so I can get away with longer time in between my washes. =] Try deep conditioning, with a really fatty conditioner, a little protein, honey, avocado oil and olive oil. leave it on and sit under some sort of heat for 30 minutes. it will help since some breakage is bc of dryness

  • *GASP* your hair is gorgeous. I am literally sitting here with my mouth open. I can't wait until my hair get that long.

  • @ButterPecan857 Thank you! If you want it to grow longer and see quick results, raise your protective styles, and lower the amount of manipulation and flat ironing (preferably down to NO flat ironing), and lower the amount of trims you get, and the amount you trim off. the biggest setback i have had in my hair growth goal in the last year was caused by myself, and it was because i keep trimming too much and too often.

  • Hi, the blog link doesn't work for me, but the picture link does. Can you double-check that link please? I'd love to see the regiment. Thnk You

  • @cajaam Sorry none of my links to BGLHonline work either right now. i think their website is temporarily down right now

  • 2222222222222 jealous!!! lol ur hair looks beautiful =)

  • You go girl!

  • How do you keep your hair so natural looking ? And how'd you grow it that long ?

  • @EbonyandCO5 natural LOOKING? It IS natural! lol On How I grew it so long: Click the link in the description box =]

  • Oh My goshh, my hair is like half of that and i want to grow my hair back what did you do.???

  • @NATALIEDSAMFUN click the link in the description box

  • Woww i love ur hair im 13 and im growning mine out now my is up to my shoulders it used to be ur length wen i was 10 so im growing it out again :)

  • @Jazzzyy123 thats great that you're taking care of your hair so early. many women wish they had started taking care of their hair or went natural earlier so keep it up!

  • So beautiful, I sure hope that I can acheive your length one day! On a hair journey attempting to reach waist lengt. I have been natural for almost two years, and to me it just seems like its growing soooo slow, lol. Any advice...products or care?

  • @GODDESS9723 thank you! Protective styles, moisture and low manipulation will do it, over time. =]

  • WOW! That looks like weave! I've seen a lot of natural ladies with hair that length but this is the first time I've ever mistaken ones hair for weave.

  • I see you have some haters...like the lady from Denmark :^6 But your hair is beyond gorgeous!

  • your hair is very beautiful and full, but that looks like only 4 years of growth...you must have cut your hair alot during those 7 years, but its beautiful

  • @honeyebby yep I did I cut about 6 inches off in 2010. It was heat damaged

  • WOW!!!! :)

  • Is it possible my hair will grow down to my butt

  • omg.. I´m from denmark, and my hair, is to my hips? It is not to be mean, but it is not long at all? :)

  • @Rujiiien sweetheart, this is about hair grown over 7 years and not hair you may have had all your life. Plus the video is about hair growth and not hair length.... :)

  • include name of product

  • how did u get it so long

  • Lucky girl :D

  • I cannot wait till my hair grows that long...your hair is gorgeous.

  • You need to teach me how to grow my hair

  • How'd you get it that length? Hi, I'm Chanai, I'm nine, and I want long, thick hair past my shoulders. Maybe below my shoulder blade? Maybe even shorter... Please help me! Thanks.

  • She can get tha business

  • wow I really want my hair to gt long too.

Its right to my shoulders right now when its curly..

Any idea?. is often trimming useful?(:

  • Good for you having natural hair!

  • Uhm...WOW! I must admit I am jealous.

  • Hey! I love how healthy and thick your hair is. If I could ask, how deeply do you straighten your hair? I'm natural, and when my hair isn't straightened, it's really thick, but when I straighten, it looks SO much thinner, something I don't want--I want it to look as thick as it does when I don't straighten it. Should I just flatiron on a lower heat or is there a technique you do to ensure that all the strands keep their value?

  • hey! Thanks! This particular time, I did a braidout on my hair a few nights before, i did not blow dry it and I straightened it with a really heavy heat protectant, with a flat iron on about 300 degrees, which is pretty low considering my flat iron goes to 410. And yeah I think that made it look a lot thicker than if I were to make it look really sleek by flat ironing it on a higher temperature. I actually did it again another time on about 380 & it did look sleeker/thinner.

  • @forverdream15 In my experience, you should use a lower heat setting&the good part of this is, you do not need to spend a lot of money for a professional straightener.. A straightener from drugstores, walmart, sears, or anywhere like these stores are great for straightening, but keeping the thickness. Also you could try a thickening shampoo,&then straighten it, I heard it keeps the thickness a lot more for a lot of straighteners. ALSO don't straighten it slowly, the more you do, thinner it gets

  • FABBBBBBBBB

  • Beautiful hair. You obviously work hard and take good care of your hair. Thanks for sharing.

  • @DrColette thank you very much for saying that. Its a lot less work for me because I just leave it in protective styles all the time, which does a lot of the care for me. :) and its a time-saver! All I have to do is wake up, moisturize and go. (and some days I dont even moisturize. . . shhhhh)

  • I luv seeing sistas who take care of their hair. Black girls have the most beautiful hair! I think I'mma upload a video. I'm dark too and my hair is about your length curly. I just hate taking the time to straighten it. Seeing your video makes me want to straighten mine :)

  • @06jazzyd I hate straightening mine too! I just do it twice a year to get an even trim

  • what products do you use?

  • I just put the link in the description box from my BGLH Interview where I explain in detail my regimen and products I use. :)

  • I'm inspired and I'm loving your ends

  • Great response!

  • BEAUTIFUL HAIR

  • Beeeeeautiful hair...I'm VERY impressed!!!

  • I can't stand when people get offended when asked about race. Just answer the question. Some people are just curious. They're not saying black people can't grow hair. SHEESH

  • @smo0chi3 People get offended because when other races of women have long hair their racial background is never questioned. As soon as a black woman has long hair everyone is questioning what are they mixed with and all of that other stuff. Whether if you realize it or not, what they are saying is that, oh, you're a black girl. Your hair can't grow that long. If you read between the lines that is what they are really saying. So naturally some people get offended. It is what it is.

  • @smo0chi3 ppl get offended because asking someone what race they are is stupid. There is only one race HUMAN. The correct question would be "what ethnicity are you, if you don't mind asking?" DUH!

  • @J4L4N There is no correct or incorrect way to ask a question. If someone doesn't feel comfortable answering the question all they have to do is say it. Not get offended.

  • @smo0chi3 wrong again. Common courtesy and etiquette should always be used when asking people questions, especially strangers.

  • @J4L4N Ok.

  • Wow yur hair looks amazing and thick! this is how natural hair is supposed to look. Mines is thick just like this and i just posted my pre-trim video too.

  • Why is it that every time a Black woman has long, thick, healthy beautiful hair people want to know your race?!?!? People use to ask if I have Indian in my family when my hair was longer and mine was no where near as long as yours.Yes, we can also have long hair without being "mixed"...just learn how to take care of it properly.

  • My dear you have one of the nicest heads of hair I have seen. Only a Sri Lankan girl and and Irish girl I knew had hair as beautiful as this. Please do not justify yourself to anyone as their motives are pure jealously . Some people would like to see all black ppl esp women with their heads shaved to the scalp and wearing a bandana.

But on another note Crystal Gayle the country singer used to receive hate mail from ppl telling her to cut her hair because they were jealous.

  • yeah.. im 11 and ive trimmed it a lot and it is like 2 1/2 feet long!!!!!!!!!!!!! too mee, that is sooooooo short... NO OFFENSE. andcan anybody show me a vid that makes ur hair grow faster WITHOUT EXTENSIONS because i want it to be 100% real...! (TOO MANY CHEATERS AND VIDEOS IM MEAN REALLY!WHATS UP WITH THE EXTESIONS!! JEEZ!)

  • can i ask what ur daily thing is??? how u got it to grow and not break off?

  • @kassieland2 I don't have a daily regimen. I wear my hair in braids 99% of the time. (without extensions) I just wake up, take my satin bonnet off and go. I moisturize every 4-5 days, and seal with avocado oil.

  • what race are you?

  • @blackgirlsrock11 both of my parents are black. But I don't believe there is a correlation between ethnicity and how long your hair can grow. In the nature vs. nurture hair debate, I'm 100% on the nurture side.

  • @h0llywh0 I cut like 6 inches of my hair last year. It was down to my tailbone before I cut it. Check out my fotki (link in the description) for pics of before I cut it. I have been really abusive and neglectful to my hair for the first 6 years as well. I have only actually been taking care of my hair for 1 year. lol So actually its long for all the abuse its gone through. Don't get discouraged, just take care of your hair & it will grow.

  • @h0llywh0 Sorry but what a idiotic statement I have lived amomg white, indians and orientals. People such as Sikhs never cut their hair and they did not have hair this thick and full.Maybe after twenty years their hair touched their backsides but it was thin and wispy.

Would you tell them to cut it all off because it did not touch the floor after twenty years or it was not tick enough.

I think you have an ulterior motive which is jealously - if you have friends they must secretly hate U

  • @h0llywh0 apparently she trimmed her hair through out the years genius

  • @h0llywh0 Everyone's different.

  • @h0llywh0 yes it is very long! she got alot of hair. looks like she been natural her whole life! i was shocked dat hair can be that long in 7 yrs. omg! im gonna stick 2 my journey! i cnt wait til my 1 yr. mark! :)

  • @h0llywh0 how ignorant can you be?? not only should you stop your hair journey you should stop commenting on youtube. PATHETIC.
