  • Anyone know who the cast was?

  • Crowd could've been little more into it. Still, i wanna chech this out one day.

  • the power of their voices always makes me tear up <3

  • Hello to every user on YouTube. I just wish to say that I saw recently saw the touring production in Denver and got a backstage tour! TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

  • everyone listen to "simba roar broadway" its amazing.

  • I love when you hear Mufasa say "Remember..."

  • It's coming to New Orleans and I am not going :(

  • i cry every time i hear king of pride rock and circle of life

  • You go and see this in West End and everyone is on their feet.... what's up with the lame applause?

  • @TheWuckingFanker i know rig? lifeless it seemed

  • Just yesturday I went to go see Beauty and The Beast did compete well with the aother plays that I've seen.

  • Where was little Nala?!

  • Where was little Nala?!

  • they should SOO make the lion king 2 into a broadway show thunbs up if u agree :D

  • @ingrid98R i totally agree with u they should make a lion king 2 into broadway!

  • no matter how many times u c dis it nevr get old though it not as good if isnt live

  • do you know who wrote the song?

  • I hate the actual movie, but the stage show was just breathtakingly beautiful. This honestly makes me tear up.

I remember seeing it years ago when I was only 11, and never wanting it to end.

  • oh dear god! The rotating floor and stair case! WOW! I'm a huge fan of theatre, and even helped build some sets, so HOLY CRAP! Props (no pun intended) to you guys!

  • Brings tears to my eyes every time.

  • I love how Rafiki says "It is time". It reminds me of those great South African story tellers.

  • I have to point this out but the lyrics are wrong for the song. 2:54 its not supposed to be "the Circle of Life" According to the offical Soundtrack of the NY Broadway Production it should say "Til we find our way on the path unwinding in the circle the circle of life...circle of life." ive seen this play 3 times and also own the soundtrack cd.

  • @howardkevinm i totally agree..u r absolutely correct....i have listened to this enough to recognize tht mess up instantly

  • @battementtendu88 i wonder why they did that

  • @howardkevinm It is because in the London production they made many changes and removed 10 minutes of the show and added that verse to the Finale. The Finale that you see in this video is the one that is now preformed on Broadway, London, and Vegas eight times a week.

  • @MovieDudeProductions i can understand that cuz it cuts down on cost.

  • @MovieDudeProductions they cut 10 minutes too on broadway

  • @MovieDudeProductions yeah, thanks for saying why they added the verse at 2:54. I saw this in NYC in August and I had the song on my iPod back then, so when 2:54 happened, I was like, "Whoa, wait, what?!?! This wasn't on the CD" O_O

  • uh what are those things that they are waving in the air?

  • @wwejheaton those would be "Birds".

  • As you can see, when all the animals bow, the elephant doesnt. She goes off so she can bow as young nala. xD

  • The baby elephant is young Nala. I read it in an interview. How I wish I could be young Nala.

  • Great quality video!

  • That's a great musical and a very impressive performance. I first saw it in Hamburg several years ago (2001 or so). All songs were translated to German but I have to admit that they did a good job with this, retaining the meaning of the songs.

  • I think this video perfectly captures why the movie and play of The Lion King are both such masterpieces of art

  • The play where I sore, the stage was so small the cut out almost all the good parts. I STILL LOVED IT.

  • i need to see this again, one time isnt enough

  • Great vid, thanks so much for posting it! :) I've seen it twice (two days in a row!), and I desperately want to see it again

  • Why do they applause so little?

When I watched this everyone was giving at least 10 mins of standing ovations and quite a lot even cried.

Even now I can't stop myself from crying.

This is my innocent childhood, and by all means, a masterpiece.

I've only seen it once but these people deserve more applause! :''')

  • Love, love this video. I went to see this with my dad in omaha, neb. And love it when Simba's mom and Nala bowed to simba, the future king. Its so breathtaking and powering. Love Disneys The Lion King

  • LOVE THIS SHOW!!! the first person to dislike this video is an asshole!

  • nala's singer in the las vegas one sucked D:

  • Agreed with the top comment, if I do blind and can't see the movie.... by listening to the soundtrack, arrangement and the score. I know it's an epic movie that people should look and listen at!

  • when i saw this in london i had goosebumbs when he took that first step...

  • This was probably THE best show I've ever seen. Maybe I'm being biased a little because The Lion King is my favorite ever Disney movie, but the show was freaking AMAZING. I was literally speechless when it ended.

  • this brings tears to my eyes

    i wanna see it live

  • lov it lov it LOV IT :D thank you so much for posting this:)

  • I remember when I saw the show in New York how I was pleased to see Sarabi play an important role, especially in the end! But I didn't see her in that clip, that's too bad, but it's still a good show.

  • OMG. JUST SAW THIS...IT WAS AMAZING.

  • On a different note, this clip shows off how vital, and versatile the horn is in a musicals orchestra.

  • i seen it when it was in toledo back about 3 years ago great show was worth it ild reccomend this show to anybody thanks to people like you people can relive it even if its just a short piece thank you for posting this

  • I am dieing to see this play thank you so much for putting it on here

  • I am dieing to see this play on Broadway because the costume are amazing and to actually see the play would be an event in itself.

  • 1:22 and 1:55 are the best parts:) and this circle of life version is the best version i have ever heard:) i saw this show wonderful i cried so much because it was so good:)

  • It's amazing!! I live in Hungary and my biggest dream is to travel to New York and see this show =)

  • I didn't know they alowed cameras inside the venue? How were you able to record this video? I just wanna know coz I am gonna see this show in 2 weeks and I wanna take videos too

  • omg, that was amazing... it have me shivers!! thank you so much for sharing.

  • I really wish this song on the soundtrack was like in the show. I love them doing a more complete version of a Circle of Life reprise like in this. Can't stop listening to this.

  • @Rallikt I agree I have the Broadway Cast Recording & I wish it had the full Circle Of Life Reprise If you purchase the South African Cast Recording it was recorded live so it has the complete circle Of Life Reprise I purchased mine on EBAY for only £2.00

  • wow even in this quality im getting teary eyed.

  • This Land aka King Of Pride Rock was the only reason I wanted to see this play. Thank you!

  • This is one of the best parts <3 I love it!

  • haha seems like Rafiku stole the show judging by the amount of applause she got >.< jk, I love this musical!! It's just wonderful, I can't describe it

  • HOW COULD U SAY THIS IS GAY!?!?!?! its beautiful.! ok they show the people and they r supposed to be animals it just shows beautiful costumes.plus i LOVE the cheetas and giraffes

  • I can't stop watching this. It's fucking amazing. This is beautiful.

  • at the end of the show is that kopa that is shown insted of kiara

  • @dreadlife why cant you just leave your comments to yourself? do you REALLY have to tell this to us. do you REALLY think we care what you think.

  • @TheDividerOfZero shut ur ass up u cow! i WILL say whatever the hell i want! fall back hooker

  • @dreadlife Yes, you can say whatever you want, I have nothing against that. I just think that you should keep your comments to yourself, because none of us really care.

  • @TheDividerOfZero i dont care about ur silly comments either!

  • Sunnydelight......you are THE BEST for breaking the rules!!!! LOLOL!! I've never seen the Lion King on stage.

  • it was awesome when i saw it in toledo i would love to see it again

  • I love this show can you get a clip of the new cast in Vegas? I want to see the little girl name Imanii perform again.

  • I seen this in London in May....the best live show ever...simply unforgettable!

  • I saw it yesterday and it was amazing! costumes were also pretty amazing by themselves! :D and was this video from the norfolk crysler hall? it looks like it but im pretty sure our pride rock didnt come out of the stage like that lol Great play! Loved it!

  • I've seen this 8 times and every single time I get goosebumps from start to finish!

  • IM GUNA SEE IT TOMMROW IM SO SIKED!!! ITS THE CIRCLE OF LIFEEEEE!!!!!

  • OMG IM GOING TO SEE THIS IN JANUARY! IM SO CLOSE!

  • Love it! Good job on filming. Very crisp and audible. I love the music. I didn't really hear Mufasa's last words in the end of this. One thing that seperates them from the other productions I have seen. And two of the productions I saw, the London and Seattle one, were too fast. They sped through their lines. And in the last production in Portland, Oregon, Young Simba tripped over a couple of his lines. Still an amazing show.

  • as far as the music is concerned I would've chosen a slower tempo but hey it's all good

  • i wish i could see that...i live too far away...lion king is my favorite movie :(

  • I love this play, but this scene just looks like a big mess. Like, lets just throw all the animals on stage and see what happens! Yeah, fail.

  • @luvmissrose doh! in the movie all the animals are there at the end, and disney insist that the stage show reflects the movie, as most of the cast play animals and its the finale what did you expect an empty stage!

  • @garrychelsea Well in the beginning of the play, there was an organization to where the animals were on stage, but in this scene, they were sort of just thrown about randomly... It just annoyed me

  • Saw this 3 times and loved it.

  • whats pneumonia

  • is this a cam recording lol

  • The one problem I had with the play was this scene. His acension as king in the play simply failed to have the same emotional impact that the movie did.

I mean the play was still fantastic, but I thought this scene could have been better.

  • im crying! :'(

  • @dashizzle1985 Wtf.... how is this horrible? this is a peice of art, do you know how long it took them to do this? can you do better? you MUST be blind

  • @horseloversomuch950 SO TRUE =)

  • @dashizzle1985 U must be mad at mommy for buying u a ticket lol

  • I hope the applause at the end was diminished-sounding because of you camera.

Omgah, I wish I could see this show.

    <3

  • how were you able to sneak you camera into the show? I remember when I went to New York to see the show last month , they told us the cameras were forbidden into the show.

  • I wonder if they have a real lion roar for the Broadway version.

  • @12bmills

I don´t know the broadway version, only the hamburg and there isn´t a roar too. I think it´s normal, but for me its the only one critical point in the whole musical

  • I've seen this play twice!!!!!!! but the first time I got diagnosed with pnemonia!!!!! The second time was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MichaelKulow how did you get pnemonia? from the awesomness of this play?

  • @animallover2047 I got it, before I saw the play i believe, and It all of a sudden effected me after the show. So, It's basically not the play's fault!!!!!!!!! Got it memorized?

  • @MichaelKulow whats pnemonia

  • @rdj9606 pneumonia, I mean/

  • Just saw this last week in Vegas. Excellent show. Great costumes, performances, and set. Altogether very well done.
