headstock is to small....passive bass needs big headstock for resonence and sustain....still love my jacksons

@guitrz1 Judging by the fact they're EMGs, and he never mentions that they're passive pickups, this bass is active. The battery compartment is probably in the control cavity.

@guitrz1 Nope, bass is active. Confirmed on the Jackson website. He's using EMG pickups and the BEQ3 Active bass preamp and EQ.

I'd love a 4 string version of the new bass in the same finish as the 5 string. maybe a slightly larger headstock but either way, its beastly.
