A bit of samba, a bit of breakdancing, and a bit of karate - and there are some serious gymnastics and acrobatics in there too... All done in rhythm to the music. And apparently it's not all dancing about either - the Dojo founder told me once about how in Brazil, people will be dancing and singing while quite seriously beating the crap out of you doing that stuff. It's pretty sweet...

capoeira is such a beautiful martial art! I remember back in high school, I tried to teach myself capoeira, until I almost broke my neck, arms, and legs...

WOW, first up I'm impressed that you are learning capoeira because that takes some serious athleticism and rhythm, and second, I'm totally jealous that you are going to Rio... I've never been to Brazil, but I spent a lot of time in Spain and Argentina hanging out with Brazilians. Brazilian people rock.

I think Capoeira could be quite remarkable martial arts besides being as dancing show. I remember ''Takanori Gomi vs Luiz Azeredo'' their first match on PRIDE ring 2005.05.22 武士道 其之七. Luiz Azeredo from Brazil was showing a little Capoeira tech and Gomi almost lost that match. Gomi seemed like having trouble with expecting what Luiz was gonna do next. That's the one of my best bout on PRIDE.

Now we can make 演歌と空手or柔道 colab event?!
