A bit of samba, a bit of breakdancing, and a bit of karate - and there are some serious gymnastics and acrobatics in there too... All done in rhythm to the music. And apparently it's not all dancing about either - the Dojo founder told me once about how in Brazil, people will be dancing and singing while quite seriously beating the crap out of you doing that stuff. It's pretty sweet...
capoeira is such a beautiful martial art! I remember back in high school, I tried to teach myself capoeira, until I almost broke my neck, arms, and legs...
WOW, first up I'm impressed that you are learning capoeira because that takes some serious athleticism and rhythm, and second, I'm totally jealous that you are going to Rio... I've never been to Brazil, but I spent a lot of time in Spain and Argentina hanging out with Brazilians. Brazilian people rock.
I think Capoeira could be quite remarkable martial arts besides being as dancing show. I remember ''Takanori Gomi vs Luiz Azeredo'' their first match on PRIDE ring 2005.05.22 武士道 其之七. Luiz Azeredo from Brazil was showing a little Capoeira tech and Gomi almost lost that match. Gomi seemed like having trouble with expecting what Luiz was gonna do next. That's the one of my best bout on PRIDE.
Mate, we could just go to a bossanova bar and start flipping over tables perhaps? And I don't even need to be drunk. A couple of Shirley Temples and I'm away...
It makes me feel good to know you are interested in Brazil's art of music and Capoeira. If only more people had the time to apriciate it. Thanks for the video
I think if people get the chance to watch an event like this, it will be very easy to get excited about it. It seamlessly combines so many elements that people find exciting but usually look for in different places. It's my pleasure to share this.
Not enough video of Fogo from Zoador's Okinawa Gym - Capoeira Academy Okinawa. )=
Great event, I am coming up for it again this year. See you then.

First time I see capoeira wearing bermudas. To me looks the same of wearing suits with bermudas.

Enjoy fighting eh? Didn't take you for the drunken brawler type. Next time I'm in Tokyo we'll find a fight club?

凄いですね 日本ではカポエイラが人気ですか
chris41188 3 years ago
人気っていうか、まだマイナーだけど一般の格闘技に対する関心から意識はあると思うし、こういう道場とイベントを通じて人気はどんどん上がってると思いますね。
だって、確かに、みて格好良いんですね。
