how to get summerboard and customize on a 1.1.5 ipod touch

DO NOT tunr your ipod off if you use this. it will break your ipod. (the only thing you'll see when you turn it on are the white texts.)

to fix this, simple put your ipod to recovery mode and restore. if you want jailbreak it.

simply change your firmware back to 1.1.5 by typing it in the firmware version space. As for the build version, type 4B1.

Just try my method a few times because you need to put it in recovery mode. I had that happen to me as well and fixed it by doing that, you need to get the timing just right.

Anyway I have found out why most people are getting the error they are getting. When you change the firmware most people don't change it back before restarting their ipod touch. You NEED to put it back to its original firmware in the FWchanger or uninstall it before you restart. Otherwise it starts with a false firmware #

This is how to fix it if you get the #'s and letters screen

Connect your ipod touch to the computer then some things should come up like stack problem. Either way hold down the power button and home button for exactly ten seconds, count mississippi. Then after ten seconds let go of the power but keep holding down the home button for ten more seconds. Then let go and you should have "new device found" and let it work for a minute and you will have to restore your ipod touch and re jailbreak it.

u need to completely reboot your ipod because of this asshole, FWchange dosnt work, it brings up some sort of matrix code thingy up , what you do is hold in your power button and your home button at the same time for about 20 seconds , untill the conect ipod to computer icon comes up , make sure it is pluged into the computer, when it is recognised by itunes u need to restore your ipod.
