There is a lot of debate about when tabla was invented. Some say couple of hundred years ago some say Amir Khusro invented the tabla 700 years ago. But I have to correct Siar jan that sitar and Sarod were not even invented 700 years ago. Sarod is comparatively new instrument than sitar. Both of these instruments were invented 200 to 300 years ago.
