This is one of those light classic chestnuts radio stations used to play as "dinner hour" music. After all these years I finally now get to see it played in the movie it came from! ONLY on youtube would this be so accessible to all! No wonder youtube is breaking web site records! Thanks a million for posting this!
ML must have been a trained pianist to be able to mime so well. I am always amazed to read of these big Hollywood stars and their talents, she was a violinist, he played the piano, she was a scientist etc. Bravo to Miss Lockwood a great actress in all her films, who can forget The Wicked Lady. Thank you so much for posting.
I remember this when it was first released, and we thought it was so mad - Margaret Lockwood with a serious heart condition that didn't stop her climbing all over the cliffs and that totally insane scene when she 'composes' the Cornish Rhapsody. And all these years later I still wonder why anyone thought that big bow looked good. Fun though!
Well well, it gave Harriet Cohen butter on her bread a month or two. Forget the music, don't forget Harriet Cohen!!
