Why they change the annoucements on the Q? Dianne Thompson says "This is a Coney Island bound Q train" sounded better.

@lamarrgreen414 They reporgrammed the announcements after the services cut back in June of 2010 and also reporgrammed the announcement from Midtown-57th Street to 57th Street-7th Avenue on the Q. I guess MTA wanted one person to say the Coney Island bound Q train announcement!

The Q train. Now only Broadway Express. Now the N is Broadway Local. Q trains are extended to Astoria replacing the W train.

The announcements you here are the same voice on all R 160 trains. They are pre-recorded and digitized to play automatically when the trains arrive and are in the station.

I see several R32's on the F & R lines. In fact the F & R use a combo of R46 & R32 trains.

The R46 isn't a junk like what some people say. After Morrison Knudsen's rebuilding of the 46's, their dependability became on par with the 32's. Plus they have stainless teel bodies as well. Never we can deny the fact that the 46 trains have smoother ride & are more quiet than the shaky & noisy R32's.

well they are because teh R32's are being scrapped and out off shore,along with the R40s,so they are thinking ether replace it with,R44,R46 or R160
