  • Betty is breat taking!

  • "triple gold star winner" -- so funny... The Olympics weren't as hyped as they are now...

  • I wish they still did commercials like they did back then... 10 sec talk about the product and then back to the show.

  • She was easy to spot, just look at her muscular legs.

Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) could'nt forgive himself for losing a footrace

against her while in Rome during the 1960 Olympics.

The REAL Miss America, Wilma Rudolph.

  • Pleaes post the part of this episode with mark kaminsky if you have it. mark was my dad and i have never seen the footage of him b4. Thanks

  • I knew Wilma and one of her brothers, Wes. She was such a lovely person and Wes was great fun, both gone much too soon.

  • I need Anacin for my jittery nerves

  • The original Dolf van der Linden theme. Thanks for posting this segment.

  • I didn't know Anacin cures depression! Corporations have been lying bastards forever haven't they?

  • this is cool

  • American Home Products {Whitehall/Boyle-Midway divisions} [Anacin, Dristan, Aero-Wax, Easy-Off, etc.] was "this evening's sponsor" (in those days, sponsors often plastered their products' names on game and panel show sets) in this 1961 episode [Mondays, 7:30pm(et)]. Johnny Carson, of course, was already popular as host of ABC's daytime "comedy quiz" program, "WHO DO YOU TRUST?". Don Ameche would soon leave the panel to film "INTERNATIONAL SHOWTIME" in Europe for the fall of 1961.

  • The Late Johnny Carson futre host of the Tonight Show

  • I had no idea who wilma rudolph is. But of course, that makes it more fun to try to guess who the real wilma rudolph is.

  • You can't compare then to now. Alot of golden era celebrities didn't even own a "television machine" though many depended on it for their income. Also alot of them didn't keep up with sports. And for the record, I don't know that I would recognize right off who Michael Phelps was. I work 80 hours a week between two jobs and the Olympics wasn't a high priority for me.

  • I agree. Betty White is stunning!

  • I think Wilma Rudolph is as famous today as Jesse Owens or Jim Thorpe. I would have thought back then she would have been as famous as any athlete. I knew who she was right off.

  • Imagine a panel not knowing who Michael Phelps is now. Wilma was the Michael Phelps of the 1960 games. A different world then.

  • I don't think Betty has ever looked more stunningly beautiful than she does here - WOW!

  • RIP Wilma Rudolph 1940-1994 a great athlete.

  • Wow, quite the panel!

  • Betty is so young and beautiful. She always will be.

  • Betty White's lookin' pretty stylin'!

  • And what an athlete she was! Thanks for posting.
