  • check out or bream channel TheBreamFisher1

  • good spot is 3rd car bridge away from gold coast hwy on monarco street ... live poddy mullet as bait caught from the pond next to it in the park with a throw net ...

2kg plus bream and big mangrove jack ...... fish it for years

  • You guys should try using one of those little guys for bait and see what you can catch, I grew up in south Florida and we have bream too but they are a lot different looking from these, but basically the same size. We would use them for bait all the time and catch all kinds of crazy stuff, like largemouth bass, mudfish, Tarpon, Snook, Peacock bass and that was the usuall, all in freshwater canals, dont know what kind of fishys cruise those canals though, im sure theres something big.

  • good on ya blokes putting it back. i always put bream i take from my favourite spots

  • Show more strikes!!!!!!!!! Great video. But please show the strikes.

  • You should be able to go somewhere like Sporty's warehouse on the Goldcoast and get into an outfit any where from $60 - $100. Shimano will have a cheap reel and rod combo as well as their top shelve stuff. Ask any of the boys at Sporty's to help you out. Cheers Daz

  • Hey guys, how you doing? I have tried the 2" banana prawn and the only thing i caught on it was a tailor, I also tried the 3" molting prawn and scored a few nice flaties on them. Can you please give me advice on what jig heads (I use several different sizes and shapes), jigging the lure and jigging actions? It would be great, Thanks.

  • Hey fellas i just wanted to know whether u were fishing those banana prawns with a jig head or just a long shank hook. Cheers.

  • Our most popular weight would be 1\8 but sometimes we use 1\6. Some days we can get away with 1\12 or even 1\24 depending on conditions.

  • great shit mate :)

  • Check out Fishcatcherrodholder on youtube. Rod holders with strike indicators. The strike indicators, Works like a bobber. When the fish pulls the strike indicator down set the hook and reel' em in.

  • are u fishing them unweighted with just a hook on the banana prawns

  • TT hiden weight jigheads

  • Rod - Pflueger Trion 1 to 3 kg

    Reel - Pflueger Asaro 5925

All up about $200 and real good stuff.

SP Retrival varies from rippin it aggressive like to complete dead stick and everything inbetween. Just depends on the day which works.

  • Hey 6braller9 -

Hook to Leader (Fluorocarbon) - locked half blood knot.

Leader to main line (braid ) - Double locked half blood knot.

Main Line to backing (nylon) - Double locked half blood knot.

Only knot I know - Locked half bloodknot....LOL

    Cheers Stu

  • runaway bay! am i close? ;)

  • would you have any links to a website where it does those knots?

  • G'Day 6braller9 - I had another look a the clip and I honestly dont know what type of knot I am tying LOL Normally I use what I think is a locked blood knot for the terminal end and a double locked blood knot for the braid to main line. Works great and only very rarely lets me down.

    Cheers Stu

  • G'Day Fellas,

Thanks for the positive feedback !

Tapman01 - You have good eyes to notice the Coronas, I'll try and hide them better next time. Let me know if you see anymore hiding in a clip and 'yes' we release all our fish (well 95 %) .

    Cheers Stu

  • The Coronas nearly outnumber the bream near the end. Dou you let all the bream go ?

  • you guys a double unit to tie your leader to your main line

  • nice vid boys keep it up
